PG: Murray
SG: Herb
SF: Trey
PF: Zion
C: Kessler/WCJ

I think CJ buys into the 6th man role, and we ship BI off and get one of Kessler or WCJ back with some other assets. I think believe you can get both, which would allow a ton of lineup flexibility for us

Ingram
CJ
Herb
Zion
Murray

Ingram doesn't take negotiations well and puts on 50 lbs of Popeyes weight and plays the 5. Pels put up 150.

You think they traded for Murray to come off the bench?

I second this. I think CJ starts, at least to open the season, and think Murray, Herb and Zion have to start. That leaves one spot, nominally a C, which I think goes to Trey.

Ingram still plays starter minutes as the sixth man.

This isn’t a what is the starting lineup I want thread, it’s what is the starting lineup I predict will be thread. Big difference.

What I want is Murray/Herb/BI/Zion/Kessler

Question still stands... you seriously think they have Murray coming off the bench?

At this point, as it currently stands:

Zion
Trey
BI
Herb
DJ

They would probably start CJ over Trey, but I can dream. The only way that a Zion at the 5 team works is if our perimeter defense is very long.

There is no way in hell Murray is coming off the bench. That would be ludicrous for Willie or the organization to even think that.

unfortunately yes.
Murray should be an unquestionable starter. That's why you brought him here.

You're not benching BI or Zion. Those are out of the question.
I really think Herb is out of the question as well b/c someone has to guard the opposing teams best player, and you're not going to ask any of those other guys to do that.

You have to pick 2 of CJ, Herb, Trey, Murray.

Willie isn't bringing CJ off the bench b/c he's the old guy and has earned a starting spot.

I'd pick Murray and Herb, Willie will pick CJ and Herb. That's just my opinion. Griff may make him start Murray, and then Willie has to decide between Herb and CJ, and I think he'd pick CJ even though Herb is the obvious answer. There's too much earn/respect/veteran bullshite that goes on in the NBA.

It's the 5 best guys. Period. If you ain't one of the 5 then you can either accept your role off the bench, be better and be one of the best 5, or you can bitch about it and ask for a trade.

Yeah even if Willie is dumb enough to think that. Griff won’t allow him to come off the bench.

IMO the 2 guaranteed starters are Zion and DJ, third most likely to have a guaranteed spot would be Herb.

Don't be an idiot.
BI is not coming off the bench, and it would be just as stupid to do that as it would to bring Murray off the bench, even if you are still looking to trade him.

Murray/BI/Zion should be the no brainers, and really Herb should as well. I just don't have faith in Willie to do the obvious thing here. I just have a really hard time believing he'd bring CJ off the bench.

Hey frickstick, look above that post, I had BI in the starting lineup but I don’t think he’s as much of a lock as Zion, DJ, and Herb. They have acknowledged that BI doesn’t fit with Zion, hence why they have been trying to trade him. Why would be be a lock if he doesn’t fit with our best player?

Relax tough guy. Sorry i didn't put your two seperate posts together to see that.

They haven't acknowledged that, and that's not why they are trying to trade him.

and it doesn't matter if you think that, under no circumstance would BI not start, just like under no circumstance would Zion not start. BI might not be a max player, but everyone agrees he's a near max player. You don't bring a guy you would pay 4/$180M off the bench. Don't be an idiot.
