Hard to see how any of that was necessary.
That said, HOAs, condominiums, and other such related community associations -regardless of socioeconomic strata- always devolve into a hellscape that blends the worst features of Section 8 housing, high schoolers’ social imperatives, and Existential angst.
Highly recommend avoiding these communities by any means necessary…

I have a hard time thinking of how much of a miserable person you have to be to be that pissed at a couple of teenagers for fishing. 
And that woman with the uber-hillbilly accent screaming, "he's the president! He knows everybody in here!" makes my skin crawl.

We had a couple of complete hitlerian a-holes in our HOA when we first moved in but a bunch of us let it be known that they weren't welcome on the board any more, and if they don't like it they can sell their house and move.
Unfortunately, some people derive their entire identity from their spot on the HOA Board.

When he said to wait until I get a hold of your parents, my 15 year old self imagined me saying to just wait until my dad gets a hold of you mister. And believe me when I say, at 15, my dad would not have endured much of any of that before it became action. He had a well earned reputation for it.

Right now, Democrats are on edge and the anger is eating them up on the inside. They now realize they have been lied to, not only by a politician, but the MSM they have trusted their entire life.
The anger is real and unfortunately, it was put on display for all to see. What really upset me is they did not play "Hail to the Chief" as the HOA President approached the young fishermen.
