It sounds like Griff has a better relationship with Rich Paul than we previously thought. Dejounte sounds amazing as a team leader.

Also, if we keep BI, imagine a closing lineup of Dejounte, CJ, Herb, BI and Zion. Play Zion at the 5 and interchange Trey / CJ depending on matchup. If we don't get into hero ball, that is a tough lineup to defend.

Man dejounte is saying everything right. He’s ready to be a leader. He wants to make every one on the team better and he wants them to be better than him. Herb Jones didn’t ask for anything but he will take care of him. He’s going to be at the summer league to support the young guys and go lunch with them.

Hes basically CJ but a younger version of him- personality wise. Everything hes saying is on point. The dude gets it. Hes the type of guy you go to battle with.

I always thought the problem was more Rich Paul and Dell not Griff. Griff basically just came in to clean up the AD mess.

That’s was legit about as impressive as I could imagine. Obviously, we will talk about his working with Zion, and relationship with BI, but I really really like his pairing with Herb and the fact they had a reason to hit it off at the beginning. I just see him and Herb really working together running the court and working on defense. Could be fun.
