Along with LSU legend Tremont Waters. I’m happy for Jose! Maybe they’ll play Team USA.

They are actually in the same group as Team USA. They’ll play August 3rd in the last group stage game.

I’ll be rooting for Puerto Rico in the other two games for sure. Jose and Tremont have been killing it in these qualifiers

Jose=that dude! Killed it tonight, and has shot absolutely fantastic from 3 this tournament. Was 4/6 at one point today.

Sabonis is soft as pudding, got dominated by a bunch of no name big men for Puerto Rico.

The lack of spacing on this team gives me AIDS

It would require BI to buy in to shooting 3’s but you would potentially have Zion on the court with 2 dudes shooting over 35% from 3 and 2 touching 40%. It is unworkable due to lack of defense and rebounding, and like 97% positive he was trolling, but spacing wouldn’t be the issue.

Alvarado is an improved 3 point shooter and sometimes is downright flammable. Murray shoots 41% on Catch and Shoots. Ingram was a great catch and shoot 3 point shooter last time we had a point guard. Shooting 3’s is Trey Murphy III’s birthright. Zion is a better shooter than people think, plus he showed willingness to shoot at the end of last year.

The psyop that happens during the offseason on this board where we think our players are so much better than they actually are.

Under no circumstance is Jose "flammable" from 3.

As for the other poster who said about BI buying into shooting 3's...

Every offseason same story. If BI can buy into shooting 3s. How many nba teams have stars where their teams have to force them to shoot 3s??

He has gone from 29% shooting 2 3's per game to 33% shooting 4 3's per game to 37% shooting 3.7 3's per game. In Olympic qualifying he is shooting 50% on 6 3's per game.

Not saying he is prime Ray Allen, but he is certaintly improving and is starting to get above average. Average NBA PG shots 35.2% from 3, Jose is 35% over last 2 seasons with increased volume from his rookie season.

I said sometimes he’s flammable. 38 point game comes to mind, along with a few others. He’s also been pretty flammable from downtown for Puerto Rico.
