Holy frick. The man has proved how incompetent the USSF are in essentially 2 months on the job in Canada.

Quite literally the best coach this country has ever produced who performed at a high level in Europe. Plays how our country should with pressing and running. We chose Berhalter, the pussy who kicks his wife, over him.

Disagree with me all you want about Marsch but he's got a bunch of scrubs with Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies to the semifinals of the Copa America. What a fricking joke

I’ve met Cindy Parlow a few times. She’s egotistical and lame. I’m not surprised been a complete failure.

Not only that but he has said they did something to him in the interview process which was offensive. I asssume not letting him know Greg was already the choice or clearly being a token interview etc.

They clearly decided they want a coach from the United States, but then did not even pick a top 10 US coach. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so damn frustrating.

I’m greggg out, but if we could go back in time and someone said our team would soundly beat Bolivia, lose to Uruguay 1-0 but because of some blatantly match fixing decisions from the ref, and lose to Panama because we went to 10 men in the 15th and then squandered our chances, I wouldn’t be INSANELY surprised. We fricked up the Panama game, that was the must win.

We tricked up. And then we tricked up our frick up.

The recurring issues aren’t getting fixed

Our team used to feel like it largely played above its head. Now we rarely play up to our level let alone above it.

I’m sure Greggggg is a great guy, but when Weah got an extra game and a fine… I would have sent him packing…but that’s just me, I tend to foster accountability within the team in my sides.

What chances? We took 6 fricking shots and gave up 74% possession. I’m sorry but not a single Panama player starts for us, and maybe 2-3 even make the squad. Even down to 10 men bunkering and taking it to the face for 74% of the game is terrible coaching, and that type of tactical ineptitude is a fireable offense on its own IMO.

Gregg's a shite coach and, Weah red card aside, still no excuse for being the least aggressive team in the entire fricking tournament.

Jesse at least has this Canadian team being aggressive, but his offensive gameplan is on the same level of Gregg's. 2 goals (and only 1 against a team fielding 11 players) when you have the likes of Davies, David and Larin ain't it. But again, at least the team is mitigating that lack of attack in other areas.

We can, and fricking better, do better than Gregg or Jesse.

Wilfried Nancy is right there at Gregg's old stomping grounds.

I enjoyed watching Canada last night. Those guys played balls to the wall and if they had the quality to finish their chances they would have won easily. They got CONMEBOL’d by the ref and just kept at it. That said, they weren’t convincing over the first three games. They advanced from the group scoring only one goal and played essentially a game’s worth of time up a man. They also had a possible red card missed (their player elbowed a guy in the head). I also think Canada got a pretty favorable draw. Still commendable what he’s done but will be interesting to see if they maintain this going forward.

No. We need to get over this "the coach has to be American" shite. Not saying Marsch would not have been better this cycle than Gregg but to what extent is very debatable. His biggest success was at Salzburg which is also a team that won 10 league titles in a row until this past season. So it wasn't exactly a very difficult job there. His other stops in Europe were meh at best

I'm not disagreeing with you, just stating that Marsch is the best coach in American history and Gregg isn't top 20. The gulf is insane. This was strictly a Marsch and Berhalter thing. Marsch suits the talent and potential play style of this team more than Gregg Bin Laden Berhalter

Results wise, yes.

Prove me wrong. American born.

He managed Leeds in the Premier League. Berhalter has a nice 39% win percentage with the Columbus Crew to his name.
