Are sharks discovering that people are tasty and a lot easier to catch than fish and seals?

Probably just got nudged, but getting nudged doesn't make for good clicks.

It's no secret that fatter animals taste better, so it's no surprise that sharks are feasting on people vacationing in Florida.

People never remember organic increases in sheer numbers then act surprised when events occur.

People stopped fishing for and harvesting sharks for meat or sport in the mid 90's. There's more sharks in nearshore water now as a result. It's not just more people. It used to be if you caught a 6 foot bull shark and strung it up at the dock, you'd get your picture in the paper. Now you get smeared on social media and have hippies try to get you fired from your job.

This is why I don't like going to the beach. You have about 1000 ways you can die. Also, several other factors like sand in all crevices, stupid crowds, idiot people, and I hate being there after two days.

Need a government program that focuses on more sharks in shallow water.

The government will screw it up and the sharks won’t be in the shallow water.

I fish off the beach all the time just about 50 miles north of new Smyrna. This is not new it’s just being covered more. The sharks are fine they are everywhere but they are fine. Just gotta keep you eyes open. I honestly cannot go fishing without catching a few little sharks.
