Rouse's is one of the better ones out there.
There's a place called Neco's in northern Hancock County. Al.com wouldn't know about them.

I stopped at a Guthries when I was in a jam just south of Fairhope
I was blown away
Like the article said such a perfect little golden brown crunch and steamy hot chicken underneath. It had a mild flavor to it too. The skin was crunchy but thin. Seemed more akin to CFA than Canes.
I completely support them at the number one spot.

I haven't had Guthrie's in 40 years but it was outstanding back then. The original.

There's a new truck stop in Pearl River with a Bojangles, and I was extremely impressed with them.

The Cajun chicken biscuit with pimento cheese at Bojangles is simply the greatest single item i have ever had at any fast food establishment ever

I would take Foosackly's over Guthries -- and Publix over Foosackly's.
But I don't get that excited about chicken fingers. I want them on occasion, but It's not something I typically crave. Jack's has decent ones too.

Crap list, Guthrie's can't be considered fast food. Its slow as shite.
I've said this on here before, but Guthries had to have the worst management and ownership in the history of fried chicken places back in the early 2000s. They should be the king of chicken fingers.
I used to have one within walking distance of my college living quarters and would go there routinely hung over. Its like they had to go hire the help to kill the chicken to make the meal, and I'm talking like 3 people in there at 12 on a friday lunch they should be pumping out chicken fingers and fries non stop.
Great chicken, but damn they are slow.

Fresh, though, I have yet to find a better chicken tender. Maybe Blue Store, but that’s not fast food. KK bone-in chicken is damn good too.
I have yet to try the tenders from Mama’s Fried Chicken in Opelousas. Always end up going bone-in and fried shrimps with sides.

KK corporate is strict about not doing that but it happens. We had one in town and the gas station owner dropped the franchise because he didn't like the rules. Or more likely story is they dropped him.

The Guthries they opened near me in Memphis a couple years back was an absolute ghost town, not sure how it even stayed open.
