What would you do if you were the Democrats.

Present what you think gives them the best chance of winning. Aight, hear me out. Democrats talk Biden into resigning immediately with a carrot and stick. Carrot is we will celebrate you at the convention. Stick is if you don’t we’ll release our dirt on you and your family. Then they go to Kamala and say Biden is stepping down so congrats on being the first woman president. There is only one catch. You are not automatically the nominee. We will have an open convention. But the good news is that you will come into the convention riding the wave of being the first woman president so you already have an advantage. If you win the nomination you have an excellent chance of winning since people will not want to immediately throw the first woman president out of office. If someone beats Kamala at the convention they will probably be the strongest candidate to beat Trump. What do you think?

Start thinking about 2028; they have no viable options unless the Convention turns into a total shite show.

If they want to win now, they do whatever they can to get Biden to step aside and Michelle Obama to replace him.
I dont want her to, but it baffles me that people dont think she'd win in a landslide.

The only solution that gives them ANY cred whatsoever: Have Joe resign now. Let Kamala be first female pres (blah blah you go girl!) and have her get voted out naturally in November. Never have to deal with her again and save face regarding the whole “saving democracy” bullshite they have been running on.

If they want to be rational and think long term the play would be use the 25th Amendment on Biden, let Harris go down in flames in November. Reorganize and kick out the people at the top who got them into this jam in the first place then come back after four more years of Trump hoping the pendulum has swung back to them by then. But they are never rational and only think in the moment so they wouldn't do what I would do.

Curl up in the fetal position and wait for the Republicans (well, those who didn't curl up with me) to save the country from what I'd helped to create.
Or cut my wiener off, have it turned into a vag, take hormones to grow a nice set of tits and pretend like I'm a woman.

Believe it or not, Gretchen Whitmer is the only one who gives the Democrats a realistic chance of winning because she could deliver the Midwest.
-Biden is on track to lose badly, and Kamala would do worse.
-None of the various senators who ran in 2020 would be able to muster the support internally, which means you need a governor.
-Gavin Newsome is the obvious choice, but he is from California and that's not a brand that will do well in the swing states.

Appeal to whatever moderates that might still vote for them and at least swap Joe out for someone to make it look like they actually care about the American people.
They're putting all of us at risk by openly displaying Biden's weak mind and feeble stature.

Put my car in the garage, leave the engine running, close the garage door, roll down the windows, and take a nap.

I'm a fan of the "opting out" suggestion posted above ^^^.

I would throw Michelle Obama in there if My true intentions were to win. I would let Kamala go on the basis that it would be difficult to keep the white vote with a black president and a black vp.
I would throw Bernie sanders on the ticket as vp. Bernie can bring in the progressive vote of men and women while Michelle locks down the female and minority vote. Additionally they could just ax harris and get michelle to run as the new Vp.

Honest answer: Play the long game. You have an automatic one term president in Trump. Put up anybody for president and take the L. Do your best to protect down ballot elections and try to save the 2026 midterms which should be a more friendly landscape for dems. Get your candidate skates lined up for 2028.

I'm thinking they take the L and use the next 4-8 years at trying to get the party back under control. It's currently controlled by extreme radicals.
