Nope they gave him amphetamines but waited too long, should have administered them earlier, as they didn’t kick in till halfway through, that’s why the first part of the debate was usual Joe, and not the State of the Union Joe. I think they were working the dosage out during that week of preparation, and that made him susceptible to needing higher dosage and the latency affect…. should have given it to him about 45 minutes earlier than they did…

I wondered the same thing. Since he is doing so poorly in the polls they need him to step down. They intentionally sabotage his debate by giving him either an opiate or benzodiazepine. After the debate he is given the reversal agent narcan or flumazenil. Would explain why he was more coherent at the post debate event. Also explains why they wanted this debate so early. They need him to step out if the way.

He is either being instructed to do that or it's his natural mechanism to fight off the mumbling. People said he was better the next day, but you can see he is not that much more coherent, he's just louder.
