Picked up Doom Eternal+DLC, Street Fighter 6, Ratchet and Clank, FF7 Remaster, and Crime Boss Rockay City

spent about 100 bucks, which is the most i've spent on a sale in a long time. i got the oled steam deck so i wanted games which would run on it with no issues

Here are a couple of steals that are hard to pass up if you don't own them...

Mass Effect Legendary Edition - $5.99?!!
Disco Elysium - The Final Cut - $3.99
Frostpunk - $2.99
FTL - $2.49
XCOM 2 - $2.99

$5.99 for all 3 Mass Effects and their DLC is a LOT of bang for the buck!

Is this cross-play? I have it for PS5, but it’d be nice to play on PC with my saves.

For anyone buying XCom2 for the first time, It's got an extremely underrated modding community. To the point where the developers endorsed some stuff without officially releasing it as their own. Play the default game and DLC first, but then jump into mods. They add hundreds of hours to the game.

Character mods, voice mods, weapons/skill tree mods, mission mods etc. It's insane. For instance, if youre a Mass Effect fan, you can mod in the entire ME cast with their voices with skill set/special abilities including biotics. You can add in celebrities, cartoons, movie characters, etc ...

"The Long War 2" mod imo is one of the best mods in gaming history. Adds a new way to play the campaign that can add hundreds of hours. It is legit (and challenging which the og game isn't)

Thanks for the tips, TTown! I haven't looked into mods for it at all (still haven't beaten the vanilla campaign).

I've never used a mod for a game. Is it difficult to install? I haven't done this shite since cracks were a pain to use

Download from NexusMods and it will be a breeze. Just follow the instructions on the mod page. If it tells you to use a mod manager, install that mod manager. If it tells you not to use a mod manager, don’t. Etc, etc.

The only thing that’s at all tricky is making sure the mods you install don’t conflict with one another, load in the right order, etc, but as long as you start simple, learning that will be organic.

Most games I use Nexus but Xcom 2 mods can be found on Steam Workshop which makes it super easy. Just need to open the mod description and select "Subscribe" if you want it and it'll be applied to the game. A lot of mods have two versions: a regular one and a WOTC one. The WOTC mods only work if you have the War Of The Chosen DLC pack also downloaded, so just need to make sure you are picking the correct version of the mod.

Edit: after looking through the mods for the first time in a couple years, I forgot they also have mods specifically for the Long War 2 campaign mod.

Steam Workshop Link To Mods

Edit: WOTC DLC is also worth it. If you only bought base game and want more after that's finished before jumping into a major campaign overhaul mod like the Long War 2, then WOTC DLC adds a ton of new elements to base game that make it more than worth it. Most players cannot go back to the base game after playing WOTC.

I picked up Foxhole ($20 bucks 33% off) and sunk a lot of time over the weekend. It's a multiplayer persistent war with WW1 & WW2 inspiration where the vast majority of things are player built. For example, if you want a gun or a tank it needs to be built by players and brought to the frontline.

I just picked up FFVII Intrograde. Considering getting Cyberpunk, but I could buy a disk version cheaper for PS4. Is it really worth the extra cost for access to pc mods?
