The UL softball program is in good hands. One of the best introductory press conferences I’ve ever watched. Hopefully Alyson will bring a NCAA championship home for the ragin Cajuns.

I’ve never seen this much praise leaped upon any human. If she is that mind blowingly fantastic, why didn’t ULL hire her when she was an assistant coach for 24 years?

They wanted to hire her when they hired Glasco, but she wasn't ready to leave Alabama

She recommended glasco for the job at that time

Possibly...but why has she never been a head coach before?

Since Bama was mentioned, when the current coach retires, will they make Kayla Braud the coach?

She looks like Jessica Alba, but coaching wise she reminds me of Pat Summitt. Since we are singing her praises, lol

It's on the job training for LSU when Torina's let go at the end of 26. So, yeah, LSU Softball will be in good hands.

Yeah, there have been so many people fro the coaching world singing her praises, it is truly something.

And the best part is, she is home….to stay.

They tried but she wasn’t ready to leave Bama at that time. She directed the AD to look at Glasgow, whom they hired at that time.

Alyson was offered the LSU job when Patrick Murphy backed out after his press conference. Alyson was coming with him but she also decided to go back to Alabama with Murphy. That’s when LSU hired Beth. I don’t see her leaving UL for LSU. UL has always had a good softball team but I feel like she can make it the softball destination school over LSU for recruits. Girls will want to play for her. I know Alyson personally. I grew up playing baseball with her. She will be great for UL.

Not sure why you thought that. It's been Ragin Cajuns since 1962.
