When did they change the Hawaiian Punch recipe?

When I was a kid Hawaiian Punch was incredibly sweet and sugary. It almost made your teeth hurt there was so much sugar. I tasted some the other day and it was awful. When I looked on the label it said it only had 40 calories per 8 ounces which was impossible with how much sugar it used to have.

The only reason you would drink it when you're a kid is to get some quick sugar and pretend you were getting some water. I still remember people shoveling sugar on top of Frosted Flakes, going to KFC and getting chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, chocolate pudding, and a giant soft drink. Ah, the days of being a child and unlimited calories. The only worry was going to the dentist.

We used to buy them at the snack bar at the pool.

There is a smoke shop in town that has a slush machine. It's similar to Slush Puppie. Only blue & red flavors. I get one every now and then. I get the huge size for maximum sugar intake.

About the same time they changed the way taco bell taste. Used to love them when they were 29 cents. Now they are high as hell and taste like crap.
