I'm thinking about heading there in the morning for adventure and rambling.

There are numerous threads about Broken Bow on the Travel Board.

Hochatown/Beavers Bend is where people actually go. I enjoyed it for a weekend. I wouldn't want to stay there for a week.
I think I saw more dead deer than houses.

The actual town of Broken Bow isn’t much so I assume you mean the reservoir and Hochatown area. Lots of fun stuff to do around there. It’s a hidden gem if you ask me. Nice quiet area but people are starting to find out about it. Lots of flies.

No but I've been to Idabell.

We went for a week a couple years ago, it was like going to Blue Ridge except the town and views are worse
ETA: it’s also about half the driving distance, but I’d rather drive a bit further for a better location

I went camping up there about 25 years ago, it was fun.

Yep, really nice. Stayed in a cabin & had a great time.
Best thing is the local high school mascot are the Savages.

It’s fun, hiking around on local trails is the highlight, beaver bend rocks. Other than that, we stayed in a swankey cabin and kids loved the hot tub. Drank fine red wine, watched golf, enjoyed beautiful weather and company.

How do you feel about meth?

Go kayaking. I used tippa canoe. It was a fun 2 hour trip down the river.
The lake is nice if you have a boat or rent one.
The “hiking trails” are kinda lame. It takes about 10 minutes to climb to the top of the hills.
There is fly fishing.
The pizza place is good.
Lots of the cabins for rent are really nice.
The only decent grocery store is actually in broken bow which is like 20 minutes from the lake.
