Jaws was released on this day in 1975
So many memorable scenes and quotes from the movie.

Post some of your favorites here..

I'll start with a somewhat minor quote:
"Walk straight ahead"
"They're all gonna die"

You go in the cage, cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water, our shark.

The whole movie is great, but the minute they step on the ORC I can't look away. Just phenomenal.

I'll never forget watching this in a theater while a couple rows back there was a very Southen black woman who, everytime the fin would break the surface she'd start shouting "oh shite, Oh shite, OH shite ... Der he is, he comin'!!"

So many memorable scenes and quotes from the movie.

Note enough space to post nearly all if Quint's dialogue in the film.
Snubbed for a Best Supporting Actor nomination but look at the list for that year.

Getting my Dad to laugh during a movie was a pretty big deal in our household. So I can remember most of the times that he did still to this day. You picked one of them.

Jaws: “That’s some bad hat Harry”.

Bonus

Jaws 2: “Don’t gimmie that shite. Point!”

I watched the hell out of that movie as a kid. I'm an adult and still don't go in beach water.

Here’s the TV spot for when Jaws was shown on regular television back in 1979. These were kind of events in their own right with a lot of the country tuning in. Then you the iconic voice of Ernie Anderson… pure nostalgia.
