Getting fired on Juneteenth is wild. Won’t be surprised if Kenny Atkinson becomes the next head coach and reunite with Langdon.

I don't see Langdon going for Willie but it would make sense in some ways.

He’s also someone that can be sold as he took a young underachieving team to the playoffs twice and increased wins every single season.
Then a BI trade would REALLY make sense for Detroit as that vet to help install his system.

JB already failed trying to coach a young team, I really don’t see why he would make sense on another young team. JB would have to be more of a vet team type coach. Plus by all accounts also Griff was the one forcing the JB hire, Trajan always loved Willie. It really just makes to much sense for Willie to Detroit and JB take over Pels

Willie is from Detroit, grew up there and went to college there. It really would make a lot of sense for him to go back and coach there.

I remember a Monty quote from his time here that he was tired of teaching and wanted to coach. Firing Monty from a rebuild was definitely the right decision even with all of that money owed #BasketballReasons.
The potential for Willie to go to Detroit is interesting, is there a better option for the Pels than Borrego? It seems like he'd have a lot of leverage to get a deal above his value with so many teams interested in him, which would make him harder to fire if he didn't work out.
