Yeah, I’m guessing they’re letting Trump off on the immunity case and possibly throwing out the E Jean Carroll bullshite case.

Unlikely to be that much immunity and it likely will be sent back for trial on the executive nature of the conduct.

I didn't even know this was before the court

IMO he will be given board immunity but not absolute immunity but broad enough to where the DC J6 case against Trump is dead.

That was a NYC civil case. I don't see how this applies to SCOTUS and Trump.

I think he is saying it will be sent back to Chutkan to make the determination if Trump's actions that he is being charged with falls under executive immunity with guidance put forth in the majority opinion.

She will then declare that Trump does not get immunity and then there will be an interlocutory appeal which moves the case beyond the election and the case dies.

Isn’t there a Chevron Deference case decision coming up as well? Or was that just the bump stock decision?

Gumbo is correct

Best case for trump - they grant immunity based on facts presented by Trumps attorneys and the case is over.

Worst case - case is sent back to DC to squabble over what is official acts ….which defacto means the case is over since no way comes to trial before election and also keeping in mind that half the charges against trump will be moot almost assuredly based on the wrongful prosecution of J6 folks under a sarbanes oxley law.

Correct.

I think there will be immunity and it's limited like it's limited elsewhere (to official acts within the authority/duties only).

So the trial court will have to have a hearing/trial on this specific issue.

This leads me to believe it’s not favorable to Trump.

Fencing doesn’t work. Fencing won’t keep people out.

what would those little fences do? are they already there and someone is starting a rumor?

keep in mind extra security could also be ordered for either way they decide.
