Looks like the perfect recipe to drive up housing costs.

No, I know exactly WHO will be getting those homes with Government Assistance.

But then again $25k down-payment doesn't even cover a decent home thats $200k plus.

Unless that's added onto the Bank Loan then NO AGAIN!

Plus there's plenty of supply out there, its the corporations buying over asking is whats making homes so expensive.

Like student loan forgiveness. Don’t penalize the schools for charging too much tuition, just pay the banks the difference so they don’t miss a beat and keep giving it out.

Who is going to develop and build these new houses and where do they plan on building them?

Hasn’t government been in the low housing industry way too long already? Seems like it created urban areas full of crime and poverty

They are going to shoehorn “affordable housing” into any permits for future development, similar to what they do in places like SF.

Million dollar condos but you have set asides to broke motherfrickers who will cause problems.

This is beyond fricking retarded. Quit spending billions and trillions of dollars on stupid shite and it will fix itself. But no, instead of the whole "teach a man to fish" mantra we are just going to "give a man a fish" because everyone is fricking lazy.

In pink neighborhoods with an effort to change to purple and then to light blue.

Maybe I have a case of the dumb, but I can't see any longterm upside to this plan at all.

Probably like a VA loan, government will back the loan. House owner will still have to pay mortgage loan in full.
