Sure a good bourbon is to be had neat or with an ice cube, but sometimes a good Knob Creek and Coke is so refreshing.

I know Crown/Coke and Jack/Coke are the two traditional cocktails, but Knob Creek goes well with Coke.

What’s your go to bourbon when mixing with Coke?

If you’re gonna tell me a cheap brown and Coke doesn’t taste good, I’ll call you a liar.

In the last few years I have completely lost my taste for hard liquor. It's kinda a shame because I used to love a good bourbon and coke. It's also a shame because I have some VERY nice bourbon I'll probably never open or drink

I drank so much cheap bourbon & Coke back in college that now I gag if I so much as catch a whiff of bourbon. Same with tequila.

I keep evan williams on hand specifically for mint juleps snd bourbon lemonades.

I have been known to dip a toe or two into the expensive bottles as well if the occassion calls for it.

How is that with bourbon? Is it about the same as Diet Coke?

At a bar wanting to get a cheap buzz, sure.

At home, id rather an old fashioned. I can control the sugar and tastes better.

After all they are essentially the same thing. Bourbon + sugar water.

I keep Coke Zero only to mix with bourbon. I don't drink Coke any other way. It's far superior to Diet when mixing.

Evan Williams and Old Forester are my go-to coke mixers. But I'll use damn near any cheap brand for my whiskey and cokes.
