Is $100,000 (one time payment) life changing money?

Considering you could pay off a substantial amount of debt and potentially increase your monthly take home at that point, I would think it could be considered as such. Curious to know if others feel the same.

Depends what you do with it.

Absolutely that’s life-changing money. If you can keep $100,000 in your savings account, think of the security that gives you.

No. I won it in a bass tournament and it didnt change my life. A few gadgets, some savings and a used Tahoe

Depends on your situation doesn't it. If you can change things around then yeah.

Depends on who you are, where you live, and your age.
For 95% of the world, yes.

Pay of debt and invest at least 50k at 5% and it could turn into life changing money for someone

For some that will be or could be life changing for others it won't do anything. Just depends on each individuals situation and what they do with it.

Buy antiques from garage sales, then go to Japan?

I’d buy enough hookers and blow for the weekend that it would likely change my life.

That is 100% relative. For some people, it would be both life-changing and mind-boggling. For others, it would be nice but have little if anything to do with their overall quality of life. For a very few it would just be a rounding error in their portfolio.

If you did smart things with it, you could improve your life a good bit with it. But it isn’t “I’ll never have to work another day again” or “I’ll be on my private island” type of money.

Depends on your age. 100K invested in your early 20s can help create a nice retirement nest egg. In your 50s, not so much. A little security and splurge or two.

Not in today’s world.
