Moffett in Portal makes no sense

He was given chances late and will have a bigger role. I don’t understand it.

You have to understand the immediate gratification generation.

Or understand that baseball player’s stock is highest their junior year and he needs a starting role to maximize his stock.

Moffett was better towards the end of the year but nothing he has done shows me he could be a starting pitcher at a program like LSU next year.
Does he have the arm? Yes, and he might be dominate next year but no way Johnson could promise him a starting role on next years staff with what he has done so far.

Maybe he got a promise to start at another program. Maybe he wants to go play for his former pitching coach. I have no inside information at all. my point is there are certainly reasons that he could make that choice. He has to do what’s best for him. I like Moffet and wish he would stay, but he needs to do what is best for him.

Judging from your post history, I'm sure there is a whole lot in life you don't understand. Like why it's hotter in Louisiana than it is in Michigan. Like why 8+5 equals 13, but 8-5 equals 3. Or why grass grows. Or how to tie your shoes.

So then his best option is to transfer somewhere he feels he has a better chance to start.

First, let me be a bit pedantic, it is either "he might dominate next year" or "he might be dominant next year", not "he might be dominate next year". That being said, maybe he wants to see if he gets that promise elsewhere.

With Noot and Shores returning fully healthy and the way that Anderson progressed, I suspect he felt his opportunities would be limited as a starter.

Which is why he is transferring to a program not named LSU…

Simple... If you don't play, you don't stay!

Hey Look Everyone!
The moron Hold That Tiger 10 is trying to be funny. This fricking moron isn’t even an LsU fan. Go look at his shitty arse posts.
He is notorious for jumping into conversations with his pussy arse comments. True generational bitch.
Thank you and have a great day!

Then he needs to refine his pitches. It's nobody's fault but his

That’s why there is the fall and winter/spring practice and tryouts.

Maybe he read the rant
Want to go there JML (we know this is an alter) after a shitty heartbreaking loss? I can post your shitty history. You grabbing one rant after a shitty loss is like taking one verse out of the Bible and saying it is an entire chapter and book. Can’t do that without context.

Not going to fault him since he has improved
This is the part of baseball I don’t like, I’ll admit I’m getting soft in my old age, but sometimes there are kids that are better
If his goal is being a weekend starter & if he feels like he can accomplish that somewhere else then he needs to do what makes him happy
I’m not mad that he’s looking out for his future, disappointed but not mad

Money, pride, start with these two.
Posted on 6/10/24 at 8:29 am to Tiger1988
Pretty much every pitcher that enters the portal is looking for a starting role. That’s where the money is in the draft. Starting pitchers can usually convert to relief pitchers but relief pitchers can’t always be starting pitchers. Also, being a starter and accumulating innings proves you can be durable and last a season. In the minors, relief pitchers in the minors can accumulate innings similar to college starters. Moffett feels like his ability to be a starter lies elsewhere.

To be fair, you motherfricked the team and said the season was over on May 12th. Maybe just sit out the rest of the season and try again next year, if that's your take.
