I'm guessing slightly better shape than the Tigers given they have played one less game

Their 2 best relievers (Mathijis and Pence) will throw a good bit tonight

I believe Pence has thrown close to 60 pitches in the last 2 days but I expect to see him today.

Pence has thrown 59 pitches between Friday and Saturday. I'm guessing they start either Johnson (6 starts on the year) or Boaz (9 starts on the year) and Pence and Matthijs are first out the pen.

UNC’s staff is built around 4 relievers and they are all available today. Pence, Matthijis, Poston and Peterson.

Folger Boaz was their ace and is out for the year

Yeah, I was a little frustrated that we let Padgett eat innings last night. I was hoping we'd force another pitching change and at least make someone less effective for tonight.

Thanks. So it looks like Johnson maybe get's the start and then they go with Pence Matthijs, Percival, Peterson and Poston.

I thought we were doing the opposite. Let them
creep back into it and get motivated to use one of the good ones.

Olin Johnson

A 6'6 freshman who has started some midweeks, albeit he only has 2.2IP since March.

He did pitch 4 scoreless vs UNCW but only has 3 appearances since, Coastal got him for 4 runs across 1.2IP

I took a look at UNC's 247 board. They are guessing just like we are, but the majority seem to think that they will either start Peterson or DeCaro (their Friday night starter that only threw 65 pitches on Friday).

Peterson

Feel like we saw him pretty well Saturday. 3 hits, 2BB, 2ER across 2IP

DeCaro

Please Forsbie try to bring back a freshman on 2 days rest

He's been solid for them stepping in for Boaz but not some shutdown Friday night guy
Most of the tournament teams he has faced have got to him

My guess is they try to get him through the lineup once then turn it over to the pen. We must do damage early
