Say Caitlin Clark quits WNBA and plays in another country, do you think the league folds?

The league has lost money for years. I can only name two players, Clark and Reese . I would kind of like to see it happen

The NBA has backed this league for decades while losing money. Answer is simply no.

It didn't fold before Clark, why would it fold after?

The NBA would happily keep subsidizing the entire wnba movement and take on mounting losses so long as the feminists stay off their back.

It won’t fold because it’s propped up by the nba.

No because it is subsidized by NBA

The nba's new TV deal is close to $8 billion dollars per year.

The wnba costs them about 50 million currently but it is good publicity for them and gets some females that they can potentially sell jerseys/merch to.

So far, six different TV networks have broadcast the most-watched WNBA games ever on their channels, respectively:

ESPN2: Fever at Sun, May 14, 2.1 million
ABC: Fever at Liberty, May 18, 1.71 million
ESPN: Sun at Fever, May 20, 1.56 million
Ion: Fever at Sparks, May 24, 724,000
CBS: Liberty at Lynx, May 25, 704,000
NBA TV: Fever at Aces, May 25, 333,000

to put that in perspective, LSU baseball set a viewers record for college baseball in the SEC tourney at 500k viewers.

if they can keep those numbers, a TV network will pay them more than enough to subsidize the WNBA next time their TV rights are up for sale.

Those numbers wont keep up

The novelty of Clark will lose steam and wnba will be back near ratings of last year by next year

I hope this happens so we can laugh at some idiot network executives who will have paid for this trash product.

One thing in common on most of those and they are trying to destroy that one thing lol

It’s baffling how tribal a lot of these players are acting

No. The league existed 25 years before Caitlin.

Did you even notice the progression in the number of viewers over time? Flash in the pan. The Clark haters will have their desired irrelevance back very soon.
