USC tried for nearly 2 years to find a way out of a contract to play LSU in Las Vegas because Trojans coach Lincoln Riley didn’t want the game, multiple sources told Saturday Down South.

Just how committed was Riley to get out of the game? High-profile sports agent Trace Armstrong represents Riley and LSU coach Brian Kelly, and a source told SDS that Riley asked Armstrong for help in changing Kelly’s mind. It didn’t work
Oof

Can't blame them. They have trouble beating teams from Louisiana.

Quite surprising to be honest considering our week 1 struggles

Riley is such a puss. Left OU to avoid SEC and can’t even win the soft arse PAC-12. Now the blue bloods in the BIG10 are gonna get him fired within 2 years.

Damn, he really, really didn’t want to play SEC games apparently.

This. Riley is a pussy, but Kelly has yet to show that he can have his team ready in week 1. Let's hope he breaks the trend this season against USC.

Maybe he should just schedule a fake hurricane like Florida did.

It’ll truly suck to start 0-1 yet again. Please have the team ready this year BK

I will never, ever ever understand why we don’t always schedule a patsy for week one or week zero every single year , like we have done some years in the past.. just makes so much sense to get a nice tune up game under the belt, since a loss in the first game can eventually cost the whole season .

Week 1 includes mega nonconference games Texas at Michigan, Georgia vs. Clemson (in Atlanta), Notre Dame at Texas A&M and Miami at Florida. But none was a bigger draw than USC-LSU,
Week 1 looks crazy good on paper. Hopefully it turns out that way.

LSU-USC is a matchup of teams hoping to get back into the mix.

Yeah Texas at Michigan has to be the biggest draw. That’s 50% of last year’s playoff teams.

west coast pussies
this just added fuel to the game

Not a big fan of schedling a top ooc team the first game of the season. Why? In a 12 team playoff the Florida State loss the last 2 years would be devastating. You play in the SEC, you don't need to schedule these games.
