Every house in our subdivision proudly flies an American flag. The local Lions Club places large flags in front of every home that contributes annually to this service. We had 100% participation.

My last three flag brackets all met untimely ends due to shitty weather and Old Glory was either completely destroyed or nowhere to be found in all three cases. So I'm superstitious about flying the flag lately.
But just yesterday I was playing jacks with my son when he bounced the ball into a little tin bucket with some fake flowers in it. As we took the flowers out to retrieve the ball we saw a miniature flag at the bottom of the tin. No idea how it got there, but we took it out and planted it firm right at the front of the walkway leading up to our house.
