They are not pissed at Taiwan. China believes that Taiwan is simply part of China, historically, and have launched a campaign to reunify with Taiwan. And reunify is how they look at it. US has officially recognized this with the 'one China' policy. China wants this to happen peacefully and it's been slowly moving in that direction. I think China's goal was something like 2040 for reunification to be complete. China plays the long game. Under Biden the US has been rejecting the One China policy, prompting China to consider military action.
If the US feeds weapons to Taiwan, an invasion would be very costly to China. Taiwan is not an easy place to invade.
Setting the conditions for China to invade, as Biden has been doing, would not be good for us.

Amphibious assaults are difficult and costly. We were expecting a million casualties in operation Downfall. China can expect something similar. If US submarines are active it could be far worse. If Taiwan is taken China will take a pounding, loss of a large part of their navy and massive casualties. Then comes guerilla warfare for years.

Taiwan has some formidable defenses, but China can take Taiwan if they want to. Taking Taiwan without destroying everything in the process is another story. That's always been the rub.
