Best animal actors or best acting by an animal for a certain scene

I remember watching beastmaster when the dog got shot by an arrow and still dragged Dar from the fight. Then the dog had to play dead for the burial.
I used to watch that movie in slow motion when the dog got hit by the arrow and always wondered how they did that scene.

All the sharks in Sharknado did exceptionally well, but this shark in particular gave a memorable performance. The patience displayed while the human actor rode on his back was admirable.

King Paragon* gave a great performance when called to the witness stand on S7/E16 (From the Horse’s Mouth) of Murder, She Wrote. Great Harry McGraw episode. Debra Stipe plays a hot vet. Jessica is all over it, as always.
