Wondering if LSU suspends, expels, etc or if the professors even care enough to pursue it.
I don't have a child or anyone that was busted, just wondering in general.

Someone cheated in one of my daughter’s classes at lsu
The professor took the kid’s test and kicked him out of the room. When the kid left, the prof tore up the test.

I’ve found that the Indian TAs didn’t care if Indian students were talking during exams, but heaven forbid any English is spoken..

When I was a freshman at LSU in 1991 some guy that worked in a printing office was selling Math 1021 final exams for $150. I was pissed because i had already dropped the class. I later found out the guy was caught, and they had to throw out the 1021 Final exams and go with whatever your grade was pre final exam. The guy selling exams was kicked out of school.

Back in mid 1960's, I went in to take a scheduled group exam only to see student asst. write" Exam canceled..will be re-scheduled" on blackboard. Apparently a student with connections to an administrator had taken her keys and stolen test questions from prof's desk. The story made Playboy and was reported to have involved over $10 grand in money exchanging hands. Rumor was some hidden camera pix were taken of the perps in the act....the main one was quietly expelled.

Caught? No. And I sat by that Asian kid in remedial math because we had common interests. Such as his ability to get the question right.

I remember my freshman year 5 football players got caught cheating off this one girl.
They all got to retake the exam, she got an incomplete and had to retake the whole class….
She’s also the one who told me “Charles Scott has a dick like a Lysol can”

I don't know of anyone who cheated in college, and I didn't do it.
I did have a professor who was upset with the university and was teaching his last quarter, before going into the private sector. He complained about the university all quarter. After handing out the final, he told us he was going up to his office, and that if we wanted to know how we did, he would post a final exam with all the answers just outside the door. Then he left.
One guy got up and looked very briefly and confirmed that the graded test was pinned to the bulletin board, No one in the class went back out without first putting their test in the basket.

I would imagine you have to have hard evidence to really pursue kicking them out of the program or the school itself.
I got accused of cheating in an experimental statistics class at lsu. TA didn't like our group and reported to the head professor we were cheating in our lab report. Had to go through the formal process to defend ourselves so at least the students do have a time to state their cause before getting the axe or whatever punishment comes. Nothing came of ours and it was thrown out

I know an entire class that got busted at LSU in Physics 2002 back in 2010
Someone hacked the test databank for the entire semester. So every time the second and third class went to take their test online, the test scores kept going up and up and up until the third test taking class almost always had 100%.
When it came time for the final, several girls were wanting to study at the library and asked me to study with them and they were studying the test bank for the final.
I warned them against doing this because I suspected that the professors already knew that the test were being hacked because even I saw that all the grades were going up every single time the test was given. The girls didn’t listen to me and decided to study the test bank (and not the material), so when the test occurred, those who took the test in the third timeslot for the final flunked with 0 to 25% score.
The girls stomp into the hall where the professors were gathered (by their offices) to find them all laughing and joking waiting for all the cheaters to come crying to them about the “test being different” thereby admitting to cheating.
Looking back, that was a 10/10 troll by the professors. They totally baited 100 students into failing their class at the last minute.

our frat had some pretty big scandals while I was at LSU but always seemed to be able to avoid prosecution, one of them was some of our guys were involved in a break in, use that term loosely because nothing was ever locked when I went there, of a prof's office one night trying to find the exam/key, a la Animal House, no one got caught, the prof just made up a new exam, funny thing was these guys were journalism majors, how hard could any of those exams be?

I got caught twice LSU 2012 & 2013
1001 level class - professor split us up and turned her head.
Calculus - I quit showing up to class and took the F to keep the other guy out of trouble.
FTR if you aint cheating you aint winning. I didn't stop I just got better

I've experienced this before. The smoke signals made the classroom unbearable.

Friend of mine served as student representative on some kind of honor board for the LSU college of engineering. They had a student from some third world shithole who got caught cheating. He threw himself on their mercy claiming he would get drafted and die in whatever war was going on there if they sent him back. They expelled him anyway.

I always had great reservation about signing up for a class when I saw the prof was Indian
