BI for Sengun, Jabari smith Jr and Dillon brooks went through on espn’s trade machine
And HOU probably still isn't doing it.

I do not think this is true AT ALL.

It’s not Homer fan opinion to say it would take a deal for a true difference making top ten player to realistically include Herb in a deal. Not even getting to the fan love for the guy.
Herb is an elite high level role player. If you can get a legit #1 or #2, he's not untouchable.

Sengun is better than Brandon Ingram right now. Now factor in younger and will make less money, how does BI have more value?

I think you are overvaluing Sengun a bit, yes, and I like Sengun.

I also think people assume the defense won't work without Herb. Sure Herb was essential to offsetting 4 non plus defenders in the starting lineup, but depending on the trades that are made, you might be cutting a lot of defensive dead weight from the starting lineup.
I hope they can find a 3rd team to take something like Dyson and pick instead of Herb, but the team cannot stand pat and needs to find a way to replace BI, not with a center, but a 2 way combo guard/wing with All Star potential that won't dribble the ball off his foot in crunch time.

He’s not valued that way, rockets still havent seemed totally convinced of the kid. I do think he’s good, but I also think he pretty gettable

Saw an article suggesting
Orlando gets: BI
Pels get: Issac, Suggs, Mo Wagner, 2025 or 2026 ORl first round pick
Not sure Orlando would do that but I like that for us. Suggs gets us a two way PG while Wagner and Issac provide defense and athleticism

BI and 3 Pels 1sts to Cavs
CJ and Dennis Schroeder to Hawks
Capella and Pels 1st to Nets
Donovan Mitchell, Dejounte Murray, S&T Claxton, 2 Nets 2nds and 3 Cavs 2nds to Pels.
Well this would be pretty incredible for us
But why are we doing Cavs trades? Much less Cavs star player trades. They are 1-1 with the Celtics right now and a far cry away from blowing it up/trading their best player.

Let's just say for the sake of argument that Orlando wanted to do that crazy deal, I'd be looking up and down for Guards and Wings that can shoot I can get with Nance + CJ + Multiple picks

The more I look at trade targets, the more I think the way the draft lottery shakes out will have a huge impact on our options.
For example, Sarr might be the best player in the draft, but there’s a good chance that teams like the Spurs, DET, and potentially even POR and CHA don’t want to take a 5 like Sarr. I can’t see any of those teams trading the 1 overall (for many reasons, but especially just the optics of it), but if the lottery ends up something like
1. POR
2. SA
3. DET
I could see world where Sarr falls to 3 and DET being much more open to moving that pick.
Would we be interested in moving BI for something like Stewart, Grimes, Sarr, 2029 future first, and close to 17 million in cap relief?
FWIW, I don’t think they would do it since we need to win now

No ones untouchable. And maybe top ten is overstating, but I do not think we are trading Herb for a number two that another team is willing to trade. I do not think the Pels would trade Herb for the right to pay Trae $40 plus million as an example. I do not think we would trade Herb for Evan Mobley going into his contract year. We certainly aren’t trading him for Garland or Allen.
Maybe there’s a one off guy like Mikal Bridges also on a good deal, and you could argue #1 or #2. But that’s about it.

Mitchell is in a similar situation to BI, where he has 1 year left on his deal. The difference is that almost everyone believes that he won't stay there past his current deal, and they can't lose him for nothing. They may take a risk and attempt to trade Garland in the offseason to get a better fit next to Mitchell and try to convince him to stay over the first half of next season, but that seems like a big risk.
ETA: just to clarify I don't think the Cavs would do the trade you quoted, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that they trade away Mitchell this offseason.

way more? they are probably closer to the same, and their value probably fluctuates depending on the team.

I don't think they'd do that deal, but I wonder if they'd take CJ for Isaac. Then we could try to move BI for a guard. Maybe a BI for Garland swap with CLE.

I wouldn't be so sure that he's valued over JA.
