I drove a Hyundai Accent for years and cracked and got a BMW Series 3. But I’m in a financial position where it isn’t the slightly bit discomforting. More concerned it will break down.

My local lexus dealership was down to 6 new cars on the lot and zero on the showroom floor about 2 years ago. I counted o almost 70 a couple weeks ago.
New car market is going to be HURTING in the near term.

I agree. $80-100k for a new Ford Truck is absolutely insane.

If you got a 10% rate then you don't have an 800. Likely this entire sentence is bs.

You are financing something that is almost equal to what a home cost back in in the 1990's, and you want to pay that back in 3 years or less. Your payments will be well north of 1,700 a month for 3 years on a 60k car. That is more than some mortgage and rent payments.
He was buying a RAV4, not a top of the line Grand Highlander.

I feel judged by those who drive high status vehicles, as if I’m not part of The Club.
The Grenadier that I ordered (and am still waiting on) is the first new vehicle I've ever bought. Everything else has been old as shite. frick 'em.

But Karen got Kevin to buy her that really nice Yukon Denali....because he loooooovves her and wants to see her safe. Of course Kevin just had to get a new Sierra and brag to his friends about he bought both on his HELOC.

can help but wondering why you don't mind your own business and stop worrying about other people.

Is he? Now think for a moment, what if someone actually makes a decent bit of money and wants to drive a nice car, what a horrible person.
At what income can one drive a $100k car in your book?
I live in a big city there are $300k daily driver urus, bentley, etc everywhere at what income can someone buy something like that according to you?

Your bank sucks. Bank of America and Chase will give you under 7%, and most manufacturers are giving rate specials finally.
Most people can't afford what they're buying, hence 84+ month loans for AT4s at horrible rates. I got 1.9 for 36 this morning
But then again, they're also not 100k in student loans that people are upside down in the moment they take the first payment.

Minimum 200k/yr to me and that's individual income.

I’m driving a 2015 F150 Lariat 4WD with 215K miles. I have a nice vehicle allowance tax free each month, am able to put my vehicle expenses on my company card, and put that cash back for myself.
I almost pulled the trigger and bought a new truck 5/6 months ago. The main thing that stopped me was two different friends having 22 and 23 model trucks with failed chips for numerous months they could not get due to shortage issues.
It makes no sense to me to drive an 80
to 100K truck with the amount of miles I put on one each year knowing the second I sign papers, I lose my arse. I also know this will come to a head sooner or later.
Stolen elections have consequences. It is what it is.

How much are they financing and for how long?

If we could buy cheaper cars that aren't laden with a bunch government-mandated crap, there would be more competition and more affordable cars.

It's 3.99 right now. Just bought from them a month ago

A 300k daily driver? I'd probably have to be making over a million to think about it. My priorities have never been inclined toward luxury items, so obviously this can change from person to person. If you can afford it, it's your money.

I drive a paid off 2013 4Runner with less than 70K miles. I don't care who judges me for not having a new, I'm not car shopping anytime soon.
