Wow, Shel is a retard. Who would have known? This is an all time hypocritical take and dude has no wherewithal to see it. He wants to bring up Rui now after his playoff performance hahaha Rui shot 42% from 3 in regular season but he had a bad playoffs and now his name is in your mouth (doesn’t see how that is in anyway similar to CJ). Shel is 5’6 125 pounds soaking wet confirmed. I just know you can’t bench press the bar

Sorry, sucks for you, but it is what it is. Your opinions are bad, and thus no one cares what you say going forward. Only you can fix that, it's up to you to do so...or you can keep making horrific takes, your call.

Also, Malik Monk is a better player than CJ McCollum

I feel for you, buddy. It’s not easy getting started but set an example for your kids if you can’t do it for yourself

I will say I am hating the CJ extension a lot less if we can replace BI with a player that will shoot 3's.
As much as I don't trust Willie, I do trust Borrego.
We had a very good offense last (this) season.
Our biggest issues last year in order were:
#1. BI not buying in
#2. No true team identity or flow (Zion+3pt is solution)
#3. Lack of Center depth (defense)
#4. Not having a game closer
#5. Injuries
For the first time injuries isn't #1 (butterfly effect, save the "playoff zion" arguments). Zion also proved he has grown past #4.
Replace #1 issue for someone who fills #2 issue and all we need is fricking Center depth.

I also want to say I did NOT read the last 2 pages and this timing couldn't have been more perfect for that CJ comment.
You kids settle down.

My boy doesn’t know when he’s being trolled, the fruit is too low hanging

I also think we need a floor general in the second lineup too. Trade with Utah, they got so many players I want. Kessler, Markannen, Sexton and Clarkson. Clarkson has been an underrated floor general tbh,

One thing that stood out to me in the playoffs with Trey was his defense on SGA. He was able to take the contact and stay with him and he blocked him a few times. I was extremely impressed with that. I think Trey's gotten more involved with rebounding this year as well.
He's an important piece to our championship aspirations, just not as the #2 guy.
Trey to to damn athletic to not be better on defense. I hope he starts blocking more shots.

Also, his rebounding has gotten way better. Murphy is more of the MPJ, Derrick White, Divencenzo role on our team. I don’t think he be a 2 but a vital piece. I feel like we can trade BI for a great 2 though. Just don’t make it too late like how Toronto did with Siakam and OG.

It's already pretty late with BI going into the final year of his contract and looking for a max extension.
But Brandon is a good player--maybe just not as good as he thinks he is. I think he can be a second or third option on a contending team. But you can't have two main stars on a contender who don't shoot threes. So, if Pels are serious, either Brandon or Zion has to go.
Brandon, of course, could change. I still wouldn't want to give him a 4-year extension after next year, but if he really is serious about learning from the past year and altering his shot profile to fit with Zion the way CJ did, he could be part of a winning team. I still don't want to pay him though. If you can avoid it, you shouldn't try to teach an elephant to tap dance. Brandon plays the way he plays. Best for Pels to move on to players who naturally fit better around Z.

and if you do that, Trey is still coming off the bench.
I don't necessarily agree. You need a secondary creator for non-Zion minutes, not when Zion is on the floor, ergo starting.

Someone I won’t name brought up a good point the other day.
If I’m Griff I sit BI down and offer him an extension at 35 million a year, paying him right under Zion. I tell him that is the max we will pay, and he has to fall in line behind Zion because we are establishing a clear hierarchy on this team.
If he buys in and signs it, great, if he doesn’t then he demands a trade and still great.

In terms of offseason moves there is one move above all else that matters. If Willie Green remains as the HC of this team they will woefully underachieve. It’s even more depressing because I think Darvin Ham would be a very good fit here. FYI, I get no happiness saying this because Willie appears to be a great guy, I truly hope I’m wrong about him.

It seems Willie will get one more season with a couple new players.
JB was brought in to run the offense and draw up plays, but we seen very little of that this season. With the new BI news I have to wonder if Willie did it on purpose and basically said F it you want to play ISO ball play ISO ball and sink on your own.
I really hope we see a good offseason of JB working with Zion and a PG that loves P&R plays in the mold of Trae Young. I really think that would be a deadly combination especially in crunch time

BI is the number one issue. Most of the stuff I’ve seen online has been pretty shite, except for one article throwing Herro and Jimmy Buckets our way, which would be cool.
Assuming we don’t get back an athletic big who can switch onto smaller players effectively in a BI trade, then getting that guy would be my #2 priority.
Lock up Trey for the next several years would be my third. I’d love to see a coaching change, but based on Griff’s comments after elimination, I don’t think that is a realistic expectation. Certainly not at the very top
