Replacing Mccarthy was the right move. Your Monday morning quarterbacking doesn't change that. Failing to change a speaker that was working with the dems is never a wrong move. If you are too scared to make a change because the next guy might be worse, you are only guaranteeing yourself a loser in the speaker's chair.
This isn’t rocket science. The next guy might not be better, but that doesn't mean you keep the current loser. If my babysitter is beating my kids, I'm not going to say, "Well, we can't get rid of him because the next guy might molest them." Hopefully one day soon, Republicans will learn to stop acting like pussies.

It was great. Exposing another swamp rat is always good. Playing nice with these creatures is not.

I’m going to say none of those Republicans after him are worse than Hasert.

Republicans must all bow down to their new leader, Marge Green. Whatever she wants.
BTW, what DOES she want? She’s never put forward a single policy proposal. She complains and obstructs, but doesn’t follow with any policy. If you are following Marge Green, where is she leading you?

What deal has been made??
It MTG's fault for forcing Johnson to make a deal with the Democrats. She gave him two choices: 1. Be removed as speaker, or 2. Compromise with Dems to save your Speakership.

You keep saying that, but you can't define what a win looks like. Because all you want looks like a big L right no. The current MAGA or whatever it is is incoherent and seems to be that its really about owning the other side . Realize that with divided government wherein you control 1 house by 2-3 votes means you play ball with the other side because they will hang that intransigence on you for the next election. The only way you win is the way that Johnson and before McCarthy are playing the game. Your only victories thus far have been spectacle with literally nothing of value to show for it.
Where are the wins? How do you think you win with a 2 seat margin in the House , a minority position in the Senate and the Presidency in Democrat hands? Plus a nominee for President fighting 4 trials that distracts him overall? I'm seeing at best a tie score right now with Biden and the Democrats playing ball control and doing it at 4 yards a pop. With a defense wearing out and playing prevent.

Johnson is the fool, this fall dems will point to him and the right for the condition of the country.
The dems control the house now let them lead it and take the blame. The only difference would be less strongly worded letters from the GOPe.

Neither can the Republican Party. Everything they have done basically since 9/11/2001 has been a huge loss for ordinary Americans.
A "win" for me at this point is a sharknado consuming Washington DC and all in it.

YOU DON'T GIVE THE DEMS EVERYTHING THEY WANT!! You make them compromise. And don't use the deciding VOTE to screw the American public.

You think either of them have instilled confidence in the leadership of the Republican party by giving in to EVERY Democrat demand. Republican voters are freaking tired of the "all talk" Republicans. You know the one's that tell you what their going to do to be tough on the opposing party and then turn tail at the first sign of a fight. Why couldn't Mike Johnson step to a podium somewhere and say, "I told my constituents I would NOT PASS another omnibus and we couldn't come to an agreement with Democrats so at this point the government will be shutting down because of the Democrat party." Own the narrative.

You're freaking blind then. The Republican party is down by 40 with a minute to play because Johnson keeps throwing the ball to the other team.

MTG had nothing to do with him advancing the Dem agenda and casting the deciding vote to not have warrants in FISA. His Speakership takes a backseat to the nation, the People, and the Constitution.

It’s not Monday Morning quarterbacking, because I was against him being replaced before it happened. And not because I’m a fan of his, or because he was doing a good job, but because of what predictably happened after.

You play the game you want and yeah you are down by 40. McCarthy and McConnell have kept it a virtual tie game during the Biden administration. You can't define what a win looks like other than you want to give nothing to the Democrats....you don't even want the Republicans talking to them and coming up with a workable deal
By definition for you if Republican likes it and a Democrat likes it then it's a bad deal and the Republican must've sold out
Even if Trump wins in November you don't get much of a change because you probably lose the House because those people in the swing districts are going to get pummeled by the money the Democrats will throw into the general. We're down South we don't know swing districts. It's either D or R but there are districts in NY State, VA and California that you need to win and having bozos spouting off bozo things with a chorus of other clowns will turn off those at the margins and that will favor the Democrats in those places.

That's not even remotely true. They got down 28-0 early and the score is now 49-21.
Your "virtual tie" is since the initial deficit, ignoring the 4 touchdowns they spotted the left.

What is a workable deal continuing to give BILLIONS to Ukraine? What is a workable deal Johnson being the deciding vote on warrantless FISA and voting against the American public. If that's playing the game then we are all losers. Giving government more control. Yeah, that's good.

By definition, if a Democrat likes it and a Republican likes it but an AMERICA first Republican says it's trash, then yeah I think it's a bad deal. I'm for all things America FIRST. and from what I've witnessed in just the last few years, Democrats and RINO's are not for America.

This is why you will live disappointed and subject to the sway of clowns irrespective of the issue that will come up.
The Ukraine deal is not a bad deal. You pull all funding now and Putin is not only at Poland's back door but he's making Romania nervous as well and the Baltic States . I'd rather keep him in check in Eastern Ukraine. In this instance if you keep him bogged down in the East, it's a win. I'd rather kleptos we own in Ukraine to a klepto we cannot control in Putin. You give him unfettered access to the Polish and Romanian frontier and I doubt he plays nice. He'll see a collapse like that of the West being total chumps. This is in our long term best interest. Which shite sandwich do you want to eat? The one you make, or the sloppy diarrhea one that Putin is gonna force you to eat on stale moldy bread?
I'm with you on FISA but it's like your mother in law now.

Do you really think Ukraine has felt the full weight of the Russian military? I mean you see pictures and videos of bars being full of revelers in Kiev and you think, this sure doesn't look like a war torn country. Zelensky going about the world like a rock star. This is Europe's problem not ours.
Are you with Hakeem in putting American boots in Ukraine? Ukraine cannot win and will not win and they are milking us of dollars that could be spent to better American lives not Ukrainians.
