You’re not wrong but I don’t think you’re addressing the big picture.

Say what you want about Goebbels because he was obviously an evil and despicable man, but I think that quote of his I posted should be taken very seriously, because he obviously meant it and I think he obviously had a tremendous amount of experience and perspective with the matter.

I think Jews are right to be paranoid and frightened about rising antisemitism, but I think they are reacting to it by and large in the exact opposite manner they should. Pressuring the state to take heavy handed approaches on their behalf wins no one to their side and only adds to the numbers opposed to or suspicious of them.

Shouting down every dissenting opinion as anti semitic wins them no supporters they didn’t already have, and instead drives some people to the other camp.

They should constructively criticize parts of the Israeli government and Israeli response as it is appropriate, and I promise there is more than enough subject matter.

Watching from a distance, it genuinely looks like sometimes they are hell bent on bringing about their own destruction.
