Can’t believe it’s been that long since we drafted that bum

Should we give the Saints front office a cookie for that obvious decision?

Guess this means he’s due for a 16 sack season

Honestly, 2021 is a rather lackluster draft.
That being said, would be nice to have Barmore right now

Always nice to rotate an overdrafted DE with another overdrafted DE

Funny most knowledgeable posters on here panned the pick as a major reach. He was a third rounder at best. Of course the sunshine pumpers said to trust Loomis and co.

Not one of the pumpers as I knew nothing about Turner in college, but coming off good/excellent 2016-2020 drafts they earned some slack at the time. 2018 really stunk in hindsight. Now we know 2021 was bad to a lesser extent.

The whole front office had to be on the bottle to draft Turner and Penning ridicules.

That is what happens when you draft for need. Same with Davenport. Drafting for need at a late slot or with a weak position that year leads to disasters.

Yep, same thing with penning. Tbd on fuaga

Let’s look at his bust of a career so far:
In three seasons he has appeared in 15 TOTAL games (5, 8, 2) for 3 sacks and 29 tackles (20 solo).
Two of his three sacks came against the pathetic Raiders team on 10/30/22. He hasn’t registered a sack since.

Well Fuaga wasn't as much a reach as just possibly not the more EV guy at the slot. We reached on Davenport and Turner (and spent insane capital to get the opportunity to reach on Davenport). I still remember the posi-Saints after that "he was the only DE left and we had to do something"
