It is now against the law to claim Jews had involvement in the death of Christ.

The Jews were involved in the death of Jesus they were just too chicken shite to do it themselves so they got the Romans to do it knowing how cruel the Romans were.

The Bible is very clear on who was behind his arrest and death. I guess the Bible will be banned in my lifetime. That’s sad but the book also said this would happen.

Well, at least this proves Jesus must have existed. There are people out there who claim it was all a myth.

And I don't recall people being upset with Trumps December 2019 executive order on this.
Trump Dec 16 executive order
quote:
(i) the non-legally binding working definition of anti Semitism adopted on May 26, 2016, by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), which states, “Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities”; and
(ii) the “Contemporary Examples of Anti-Semitism” identified by the IHRA, to the extent that any examples might be useful as evidence of discriminatory intent.

This isn't even debatable. The Jewish leaders at the time feared Jesus would take their power/positions away, so they got the Romans to torture and kill him as a warning to all of His followers.
Did you read that, Mr. FBI Man?

I don't see anywhere in the bill that it criminalizes statements like what you posted. The bill is aimed at the dept of education.

Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.
If you look at their long list on their website, most of it is about generalizing all Jews/Israelis for the actions (or perceived actions) of individuals. This particular one is talking about blaming the death of Jesus on all of Israel/Israelis.

Reposting from a previous post:
Many people are expressing their concerns about the adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definitions on anti-Semitism. On December 16, 2019, President Trump referred to this development in his executive order aimed at combating anti-Semitism. The adoption of these definitions has sparked a debate, with some arguing that it could stifle free speech and academic freedom, while others believe it is an important step in addressing anti-Semitism.
Trump Dec 16 executive order
It is worth noting that both President Trump's executive order and the house bill emphasize that the First Amendment should not be reduced or violated. However, it is important to recognize that while this statement may seem clear, there may be issues with the way these documents are written and implemented in practice. Nonetheless, it is significant to acknowledge the emphasis placed on protecting the First Amendment in these documents.

I agree it can be problematic. I'm just stating what is actually in the documents.
