I think you're grossly overrating Ingram at this point.
I think Allen and maybe even Murray have surpassed him.

What GM wants an oft-injured, ball-stopping, playoff flop, who shoots the lowest percentage shot in the game and is a below average defender?
I really don't think Ingram is as valued as this board does.

I can agree with this. We need to do something with the salary slot. But we need a 2nd star next to Zion. That needs to be a great lead guard or dynamic big. We should be targeting 10-12 guys, if we are truly going for it..
If I’m trying to think about highest chances to get a running mate for Zion I feel like it has to be through the draft. Stars aren’t generally gettable and we won’t get a disgruntled star just another teams cast off. So we should have been taking high ceiling high risk players this entire time instead of high floor one dimensional role players.

I believe the biggest take away from the playoffs so far is that the bench does not really matter that much. A team needs a strong starting 5, with maybe a solid 6th man.
Everyone knows this. That’s why drafting high floor low ceiling one dimensional role players with lottery picks was about the worst strategy we could have had. And now at this point it’s basically too late. Maybe I’m just very down right now but it feels like we already missed our shot unless we get very lucky with non lottery picks.

Yeah ok. That isn't realistic.
YOu can want to big game hunt, but Maxey isn't available no matter what you throw at them.
Harris is an excellent defender and rebounder, and he can hit an open 3.
I"m not asking to break the bank with him, but if he was your backup 4 coming off the bench and small ball 5, i'd be very happy with that.
If he's poo, then the Sixers would still be giving us a picks if we gave them BI. I"m not giving up BI for just picks.

Shamit just posted this hypothetical 3 way in response to someone from the Athletic proposing Ingram/21 for Duren/3.
I think he's proposing using the trade exception from the Detroit trade to do a Dyson for Murray swap. How would Atlanta even consider that? It does save them $20 million in salary, but it's a pretty big downgrade for the 2024-25 season.

Example:
Out: Ingram, Dyson, pick 21
In: Duren, Dejounte Murray, pick 3.
I think the Pels run with this. Draft Sarr, Collier, Shepp, or a big wing like Holland or CDub.

Welp, we could have drafted Duren. Most of this board was clamoring for a big two years ago because we have eyes and a brain. Now Shamit, a huge Dyson Stan, wants to burn up Dyson and rocket fuel to get him two years after the fact? Lol
Dyson sucks.
Dyson sucks.

Is Duren good? Legit question. I do t watch Detroit. I know he can't shoot. Can he switch and defend? If not, I don't see the fit. He doesn't block shots either and his defensive rating is pretty meh

I like Duren but he needs to stop fouling. Also, Dyson does not suck. Hes a great defender. Hes been improving each year.

A quick google search brings up threads of Detroit fans bitching about his defense, so I would say he's not a good defender.

He was a decent defender his rookie year. This year, seems like injuries caused him to not play defense like he did before.

Is Duren good?

Duren is legit in the Drummond category, don't let the rebounds and athleticism fool you, he sucks defensively.

So hard pass. He's a dinosaur big IMO. Don't want.

He's only 20. He can improve there.

He does suck defensively but I'd bet on him improving. If we could get Duren and Ivey for BI i would do that in a second

I mean frick yeah we'd take that, but who would be retarded enough to do this?

Wouldn't you rather Sexton and Kessler?
Walker Kessler is actually a really good defensive player.

If this trade is legitimately on the table, ill pack Dysons shite for him.

Yes. No one said you had to give him a $50M/yr contract. S&T's are still a thing.
No one said i was bringing him here to be the #2 on the team. I want to bring him off the bench.
He's been there for 5 years. Every single year the Sixers have been better with him on the court than off the court if you look at his on/off stats. He might not score 20ppg, but he's going to help the team win. As i said, he's big enough to hold his own against most small ball 5's, as well as 4's, and his length and defensive instincts make it hard on perimeter players to do anything against him. and he has always been able to knock down open 3's.
You can bitch he didn't score in last nights game, but if you are going to bitch about it, then talk about the 19 points he had the game before on 7-11 shooting.
Again, i'm not asking to bring him here to be a #2, a #3, or even a #4 on our team. He's coming off the bench and playing the 3/4 with Trey and Zion and some small ball 5.
