You think that Sunny and Curb were neutered by the PC crowd?

They were real at my high school in the 90s and LSU in the early 00s.

I think a lot of comedians got tired of being asked "Why are you pushing the line?" and instead just decided to tell jokes about food.
And that's how we know how ridiculous its been to give control over what's considered "socially acceptable" to Big Mouth hypersensitive twits and triggered social misfits.
In the end censoring comedy and comedians is still and all really just censorship of Truth.

Because those people are real. . .and in the writers rooms.
I graduated HS the year PCU came out.
You were around them because Law schools were rife with them,
Campuses were generally devoid of them. I went to LSU in the mid to late 90's. Social science/education major. Almost none of that on campus in any visible way.

I was around plenty of these types in high school in the mid-90s and in undergrad in the early 00s.
I actually rejected this in law school, and LSU law is mostly conservative types, regardless.

Was it though? You also had a late night show titled...Politically Incorrect. There was obviously a movement big enough to inspire movies and TV shows. Was PC culture in the 90s as big as it is today? No. Was it as small as you make it seem to be? Nope.

I can only speak to the environment at the time PCU was made.
I guess, MAYBE UC-Berkely would have been somewhat like PCU in the mid 90's?
I was in middle school when "Afro-American" became bad. . .and you could still say "negro" as a polite term for blacks when I was in HS. . .although it had begun falling out of favor

Then it largely fell out of favor
Then it had a comeback, apparently, at LSU in the 00's
Then MeToo, Ferguson, Trump, and Trans grooming caused an explosion

I was at LSU in the 00's. I don't remember seeing much PC culture back then. In fact the opposite. Though I assume my college experience was vastly different than those who went to big coastal universities.

SFP said it was prevalent at LSU undergrad in the 00's
That was why I said "apparently"

Now you're expanding what I said. I said it existed, at a conservative campus, in the early 00s.
But PCU also was not portraying a conservative, Southern campus, either.

I think social associations make a huge difference.
If a person spent all their time around Greek life and CEBA for your 4 years at LSU, then I could 100% see them missing it.

I wasn't in Greek life at all, but was a business major. I definitely saw some PC things....particularly people making a big deal in coming out against the purple and gold stars and bars, and other issues that were often written about in the Reveille. But just about everyone I interacted with did not give two shits about those social issues, or any other social issues. We were more concerned with just having a good time in college, hanging out, football games, playing sports, etc.

Ummmm......no. Every show is dumbed down and younger generations don't have a sense of humor. They take offense to everything.

I'm shocked you came here to argue against what is plain to see by almost everyone else. Hell, your side* openly tells us they are going to change culture and entertainment to fit their worldview and you still come out to deny it.
*Yes, yes...we know. You're not on either side. You're above the fray!
