SJB at least had traits. Leonard was shocking to just about everybody, media, fans, draft analysts, etc.
SJB was a 4-5th round projection by nfl.com. Leonard didn’t even have a projection.

Junior Siavii and Trazelle Jenkins, I believe both were 1st round picks. Siavii died at age 43 in Leavenworth penitentiary.

True, and he was immediately labeled as a project. Part of the awfulness of the pick is that Sean quit on him after one season which is ridiculous.

Siavli was a second round pick. Eddie Freeman would be another 2nd rounder you could add in there.

A lot of teams could have had Marino.
Yeah but the Chiefs picked Blackledge over Marino and Jim Kelly. Hell, even Tony Eason or Ken O'Brien would have been a better pick.

Ted Ginn for the Dolphins
Ginn played well over a decade in the league. Dion Jordan is probably the worst pick by the Dolphins though their taste in running backs in the 1980s and 1990s stunk too.--Sammie Smith, Lorenzo Hampton, John Avery, David Overstreet.

Ginn wasnt a good pick on draft night though.
And the GM defending his decision by saying he was the most electric punt returner in the game made the pick even more questionable.
I don't remember the Mel Kiper draft order. When was Ginn projected to go?

Kenny Pickett.
Kevin Colbert was an excellent Steelers GM but he should have retired a few years before he actually did. It's a shame that this was his last first rounder.

Came to post the same thing. Horrible pick wasted on that guy.

Did the Rams pick the crazy lb from Notre Dame. The fake girl friend guy.

The Eagles have two in recent memory. Under Chip Kelly, after an awesome season with Mike Vick as our QB, we draft in the 1st round a 26 year old Canadian firefighter as offensive guard having only started playing football at the age of 22.
Then there's the pick that still pisses me off. With Justin fricking Jefferson and Brandon Aiyuk still on the board, we decide to select Jalen Reagor. Reagor, over Justin Jefferson

Bryce Young - gave up way too much for a small dude that plays like a deer in headlights.

I remember the Vikings freaking out that they did that. Probably the fastest turn in pick in NFL Draft history

Gabe "Señor Sack" Rivera.
Instead of the Steelers taking Dan Marino or one of the other Hall of Fame QB's, they took Rivera a DL.
He might have turned out to be good but shortly after the draft he was driving drunk and swerved into oncoming traffic and ended up paralyzed from the accident.

My Saints have gotten some picks wrong over the years, but they have never gotten your and you’re wrong in a thread title before
Do better before you try to criticism other people (or organizations)

Russell Erxlaben - 100 percent

I thought about that -- same with Charles Rogers for the Lions. But, especially in Mandarich's case -- someone who is such a sure fire lock and busts, well, that's just bad luck. It's reaching and then busting that is bad. I think of Trey Lance or Trubisky that way.

Oh, okay. I can see that being a bad pick if you're a Broncos fan.
