The payout to these families
Multiple felonies committed by wanted criminals with ankle monitors and endangering the public by felony reckless driving.
frick those kids and their families.

Grief counselors were at Newberry High School all week after several teenagers were killed in a crash during a chase involving state troopers.
My favorite part of the story.
Like ANYONE at the high school will actually experience grief that these 4 guys (with zero character and zero concern for others) are all dead.
No one will remember their names in 6 months.

Feel bad for the owner of the stolen car.

The harsh truth that is difficult to accept these days.

They could have killed themselves and other innocent bystanders if they caused an accident. Darwin works in mysterious, but usually correct, ways.

Poor Shamar, De'montrae, Reginald, and JaQuarius.

Just posting because I'm sincerely curious where we all fit on this type of situation
They are.. ahem… were thieves. They all were complicit and involved. They endangered other people with their attempt to get away.
Verdict? Frick em. Each and every very last one of them.

Yeah I’m struggling to give a shite here. Honestly, quite the contrary. I’m almost happy it happened this way.

The only sad part is the ongoing for life mental problems the Trooper might have of guilt. These fricking pieces of shite criminals can’t act right and ruin everything for everyone else.

payout to these families will be less than the cost to keep 4 people in jail for 60 years each after they inevitably ended up in jail for life.
Solid cost/benefit analysis mate.

It's lose lose either way.
If these fine upstanding individuals would’ve plowed into your family driving 110 in their stolen SUV, that’s a real loss.
Cop ended the threat. Period.

Bill the families of the four perps with quarter shares of the replacement value of the stolen car.

Wonder if the mothers will fake faint while telling us what good citizens they were........ Fathers?

How can you criticize law enforcement here? 110mph, stolen vehicle...you have to stop them. At that speed they were a danger to other motorists, houses and businesses close to the road, pedestrians, etc. I'm sure there will be lawyers and law suits, but I would expect the families to come away with nothing. LE had to bring this to an end.
All of this happened not far from me. Been to Newberry High many times over the years. Driven through Waldo hundreds of times. Waldo is very small, has like one or two traffic lights I believe. Was famous nationally for speed traps. As you enter from the south the speed changes pretty quickly and the Waldo police gave out a lot of tickets and took a lot of heat over the years.
