I’ve seen enough: Build around Z/Herb/Trey

Go get a bucket getter as your PG (and not just a chucker… looking at you CJ). I’m not even mad if we brought back Jonas as long as you have an actual rim runner on the second unit who can swap out.
Overall I’m sick of seeing BI not give a shite when guys like Herb and Trey are giving everything they can. Have the offense run through Z and new Point guard, let Trey and Herb bomb 3s all day.

CJ couldn't even dribble without bobbling the ball yesterday. He seemed so uncomfortable the past 4 games as the primary ballhandler. I know OKC has some good defenders but he was afraid to put the ball on the ground at all
IF we keep him, he has to be a 6th man. His defense is so bad and he can't really lead the offense. It worked with Zion a bit with "get the ball to Z and get out the way" and wait for an open shot.
Get whatever you can for BI, thanks for your service
If you can move CJ, good. If not, make him buy in to a demotion.
Pray to god Daniels develops a shot like Herb (and Herb continues to develop)
I think a starting 5 of
Daniels
Herb
Trey
Zion
Rim Defender
would be lethal with CJ off the bench for some added O

Dyson Daniels has a hard time bringing the ball up under pressure and you want him to start? OK

I don’t think BI dosent give a shite. He was trying to be aggressive last night he’s just getting locked the frick down by Dort. He’s a slow iso player and when he can’t rise up over somebody he struggles against agressive D. He hasn’t evolved any since his all star season and hasn’t been consistent. Time to move on
I love Trey as much as anyone but he had 8 points in 38 min last night. If he’s going to be a full time starter next year it’s time start putting up some fricking points

quote:1 volume shooter with Zion isn't the best way to use Zion. Like we've seen when it matters, teams will just leave Dyson alone to take all the 3s he wants.

We need at least 2 volume shooters with Zion.

Because we’re more concerned with our mentally soft star getting free for his midrange shot.

Blow it up. IDGAF anymore.
New Orleans as a franchise has had its fair share of teams make darkhorse noise in the regular seaon but they've had only 9 playoff appearances in 21 years and only twice did they advance to the second round, where they then lost both matchups. This is likely its 7th first round exit in the only season hat counts: the playoffs.
Different teams; different names; same ineptitude; same results.

As a franchise we have historically bad injury luck. So bad and continuous, it feels like a curse.

Even healthy this team wasn’t going anywhere. The roster has a lot of flaws and the coaching has glaring issues
We are in nba purgatory

bullshite.
A 100% Zion and BI to end the year would have put us at the 4 seed probably, and we'd have a 100% BI and Zion playing today.
shite, don't forget to include Trey's health. He sucked for like half the year recovering from his random freak injury. We could have possibly gotten the 3 seed with good injury luck this year.

OKC - Nope, not likely to beat them
DEN - Nope, not beating them
MIN - Nope, not likely to beat them
LAC - Nope, not likely to beat them
DAL - Nope, not beating them
PHO - Nope, not likely to beat them
LAL - Nope, not beating them
SAC - Would beat them
GSW - Would probably win, but not guaranteeing any Pels series win over a Steph Curry team

Having two high usage stars who never shoot the 3 and can’t handle size and physicality in the regular season let alone a playoff environment is usually a disappointing recipe. This team struggles with size. Bi struggles with any physicality. It’s wouldn’t work regardless.

MUST see what Daniels can do. Next season should tell us. Just run him out there as a starter and see what happens. If he can't handle it on the offensive end...worst case...you can always just stick him in the corner where he shot 39.2% this season. We DESPERATELYT need another elite defender to help Herb because Herb is just too easy to "avoid" if he is our only defensive player.
I'm hoping...BI & JV are gone...and CJ moves to 6th man. Or just plain "moves" for that matter.
I'm not a fan of "PGs" in today's game...but our situation might demand an exception. I think the guy is in this year's draft. He MUST be above average 3-pt shooter but be a "pass first" PG and a solid defender. MAKE ALL OTHER TEAMMATES BETTER !! I'd prefer he be 6'5 or taller but 6"3 will work...if you get my drift. Won't come cheap but will be worth the effort.

I'd love to have been healthy to get a valuation of where we stand.
But we'd be an underdog against the top 7 seeds in the West, and I don't think we're winning a series against any of them, assuming healthy for all teams.

And exactly the reason the Griff will use to run it back. I can literally forecast his end of year presser using this exact point of we don’t really know what they could have done and thats the reason they’ll run it back.

man that's some negativity.
Fully healthy, we'd be competitive with anyone.
and more importantly, it's ok if we did lose. it's basically year 1 for us if Zion would be playing. everyone has playoff failures. It's how you know what's needed to get better the next time you're there.
OKC isnt' making the finals this year. They'll be lucky to make the WCF. But they'll be more prepared to make a deeper run next year b/c of it.
