frick that.
So will people be arrested for having certain amounts of marijuana on them? I am just trying to find the real motivation behind this. Is there anyway this could be connected to private prisons? I could be wrong, but I want to say Landry received some nice donations from this industry.

This deals specifically with industrial hemp. I thought industrial hemp had little to no THC?

It is also the intent of the legislature to protect and promote the health, welfare, and safety of the public

What we need is more people using weed in this lazy shithole of a state. Surely it leads to a more productive populace.
Yeah all the drunks are stand up members of the Louisiana economy who def are not lazy

True, but methods have been found to extract the THC from hemp to make products like seltzers and edibles. They have the same intoxicating effects as regular THC, but are technically not illegal because hemp is legal at the federal level. Growers have also engineered high THCA hemp. THCA is what converts to d9 when exposed to heat. So currently, you can legally get both gummies and (essentially) high grade flower delivered straight to your door via USPS, or you can purchase it in local stores. As far as I understand it, the bill aims to outlaw all consumable forms of hemp derived THC & THCA.

No, not really. Very light, akin to maybe chugging a beer or so, in my experience. But different and lighter feeling, not drunk, just relaxed.

But would you still be able to order it from out of state and have it delivered?

Not a fan of some of Landry's stuff but lets pump the breaks on this hyperbole. At a state level there has been no bigger infringement on personal freedoms than the Edward's administration. Also, the legislature declined to pass this bill, not Landry.
You’re wasting your breath here. The board is full of leftist idiots

Somehow we were better off with Edwards in office.
When the Democrats are out of power, they run on big government solutions and free shite. When they get in power, they deliver big government solutions and free shite. You get what you vote for.
When the Republicans are out of power, they run on small government and fiscal conservatism. But when they get in power, they deliver big government social conservatism.
We're fricked either way. At least you know up front what you're getting with the Democrats.

Quality and potency varies drastically from vendor to vendor imo. My favorites thus far is from Exhale Wellness. Delta 9 gummies with live resin are as potent as some "normal" THC gummy I ve had. Two 15 mg gummies and.......well I would not not call it a mild high by any means,.

frick this state and the limp wristed republicans that push this nonsense.
All we heard about was how awesome Landry was going to be, and how awesome the super-majority in the Legislature was going to be. Great fixes to our major problems were just around the corner!
I mean Landry was gonna be so great, we didn't even have to push for him to debate, or actually give us any ideas or policy plans or anything.
Meanwhile, a bunch of us tried to tell y'all that Landry was a clown and our legislature was going to be just as useless as they were with a Dem in the governor chair, because the legislators themselves are frauds.
Do y'all get it now?

I've said this for years.
The Dems are very clear about the evil things they want to do.
The GOP tries to hide the crazy, but they are not very good at it.

How about THCA? Works pretty much just as good.

Without looking it up, I would wager that the people pushing this bill have ties to the pharmaceutical industry and/or medical marijuana monopoly.
It’s alcohol distributors.
The owner of crescent canna, which makes a thc seltzer in new orleans employing 35 people in on social media saying that he and other in the space are killing alcohol sales so the alcohol distributors are snuffing them out.

I concur with you.
As a police officer I cannot consume CBD products but my own daughter and a close family friend use these gummies because it works for them and it is not a prescribed pharm product. They both have had major success with the delta-8 and no longer require Dr scripts for treating aliments.
frick these clowns. Its obsurd.

It’s absolutely nuts how dogshit Louisiana is as a state.
The two biggest legislative changes over the last 2 years are banning porn and weed all while being last in virtually every category that matters. frickkkkk lol.
