Another useless stupid bill that we pay our politicians to work on.
Anyway Cash is dying. Congratulations Louisiana for continuing to remain in the past and behind the curve.

I always thought schools used credit card only payments to stop workers from stealing cash , or to not have to carry thousands of dollars cash until they can deposit it on the next bank day. Now i know it was really to discriminate against those who dont have credit cards.

Absolutely 100 percent support this.

Yep.
That’s how the free market works.
Which everyone who supports this bill is apparently against
Except other states are already weaponizing it and are destroying the "free market".
I'd also argue that almost any law lessening the governments ability to track an individual can be considered small government. Tough to get a warrant for someone's bank account transactions if it's cash out and cash in only.

Lots of people complaining if it's necessary....
I pay with cash pretty much everywhere and you should be as well.
Harder to track how you spend your money and attempting to slow another foothold into a cashless society. When currency is all digital they own you more than they do now.
The fricking fees alone I hate paying.

I usually don't like places that don't let you pay cash but I'm all for it in Tiger Stadium. Those people working hardly know how to count change and it only slows the line down

Yep. I brought some cash a while back to pay for beer at an LSU football game and the two young dudes serving looked perplexed lol.....I didn't know because it had a been a little time since I'd been at a game

Beer:$10
Beer (Cash Price) $18
Problem solved

Was this honestly an issue?
CBDC is the issue. This is just window dressing. The next move is to ban CBCC in the State, along with ESG, DEI, and all of the other WEF bullshite the one world commies have been planning for years. Good move, it keeps those sick fricks defending their commie positions.

Look at the fees you paid this year by using your dc or cc at local and even non local establishments.
We didn't pay jack shite.
The establishment paid those fees. They pay lots of fees. Baking all their fees into the cost of goods is how businesses operate.

This is something people claim they want, but in the end they still just do Apple Pay/credit/touchless
I doubt at all they make any more or less money

but a cashless society is terrifying when you consider the government already uses corporations to end around the constitution.

I have a friend who's a fixer in Baton Rouge, Tiger Stadium and other events are part of a big cash skim operation. They want you to use cash, certain corrupt pols get fat off this, all the way to the top.
Or so I heard...could be a conspiracy theory.....
