Women traveling in packs are rabid. Its a strange chemistry, but they try to outwhore each other.
Add alcohol a sense of freedom without the kids and they become easy to manipulate and often fall for the ween of another man.
My question is what did the husbands think the point of a "girls" trip was exactly?
OH yeah, my wife and her friends are going to Jamaica and they are going to sit in their room and drink and only talk to one another. Stupid.
If your wife is going with her "friends" on a trip and they are indulging in a bar type atmosphere you are simply not respected as a man or husband. Its really that simple. I will catch blowback for this response but its true.

And that most women in 2024 work and earn a paycheck, so it’s not just his house and his cash, right?

It's an entire subculture where these woman feel like they're overwhelmed with kids, husband, and life in general. These kinds of trips are like being single again. Pretending to be single leads to single lifestyle decisions, like screwing some rando dick.

I've seen girls groups hanging out by themselves, not looking for anything other than a good time with their girlfriends. But inevitably, dudes see those groups, especially older married chicks, as a challenge. So you still have the formula for cheating in place.

To answer your question, women in the long term are on average worse off financially after a divorce…simply because the whole family is. You’re taking the “income pie” (regardless of who is earning what, or who is paying who alimony) and spreading it over two households now instead of one.
you cant just gloss over that "regardless of who is earning what". chances are that she makes way less than him, and in a divorce will come out a net winner. she might be financially worse off after the divorce compared to when they were married, but still way ahead from before she met him.

The hypocrisy is what gets me.
Married men dont typically go on "trips" together outside hunting and fishing and maybe gambling. So truly an experience with the dudes. I am not saying other stuff has never happened, I'm just saying the chances are lessened.

I’m not glossing over it. It just didn’t have anything to do with the point I was making.
I’ll address it here. Yes, she is likely making less, but that’s usually because she’s making career concessions to care for the home and kids. Men generally don’t do that, focus on their careers and earn more.
By saying she “comes out ahead”, you’re implying that what she’s doing in lieu of earning more money isn’t worth anything.

Maybe, maybe not. I’m saying that there are consequences to a married woman getting divorced. She is, in fact, worse off as a consequence of getting divorced. I’ve never made any comparisons to her pre-married state.

See my post above. What is the woman typically doing in lieu of working those additional 20 hours?
And what value would you place on that?

i mean that's fine, if that's your assertion. yes, she is in a comparably worse position than when she was married. but that's a meaningless metric. she is still in a net better position due to the marriage and divorce, and he is in a net worse position than he was before due to the marriage and divorce.
i agree that there are consequences for a woman getting divorced - emotional, reputational, family, religious aspects, depression, etc. i'm just saying that in regards to material possessions and wealth, things that can be objectively measured, she is going to come out way ahead in the majority of cases.

Its so true. These whore bitches will make up stories to save face. This happened in a forensic files episode.
This woman claimed rape and turns out a man spent years in prison because the other male DNA they found in her vagina was from someone else she was screwing and she didn't want to admit it.

Somehow our society holds the view that all women are capable, independent, and every bit as intelligent as men yet they're never held accountable for any sexual actions they take. It never fails.
Ever seen that Jack Nicholson flick, as good as it gets?
Receptionist: How do you write women so well?
Melvin Udall: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.

How is it a meaningless metric? We’re (or at least I’m) talking about the consequences women suffer from divorcing. You have to be married to get divorced.
I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, but if you’re trying to say that a divorced woman is financially better off than if she had never been married…then maybe? I would think the unmarried woman is more likely to have an established career and no kids so I’m not sure how you’re reaching this conclusion, but again, that’s not the point I’m making.

I just think this is an odd way to look at it. Or maybe I’m just odd.
When you’re married, all of it is hers. All of it is yours too. When you divorce, you end up with half (or whatever the split is) of what you had previously. Both of you do.
Let’s say there is a house and a 401k under consideration. You both have a home and a retirement account. Now you divorce. One of you takes the house, one of you takes the 401k. The first person has to build a new retirement account and the second person has to get a new house. You’re both worse off.
