I'm sure a lot of that 87% are convicted felons. Not sure how it works in NY on whether that prohibits you from jury duty like it does in Texas, but that may move the needle a bit.

Only takes one (83.3%) so who knows.

If the case is as absurd as it sounds, there may actually be a moderate lefty that would feel wrong about convicting out of spite. People sometimes clean up their act when in a setting like this. It's intimidating.

If I was betting man, I'd say all of the above is overly optimistic

Do they all have to say guilty for him to be found guilty?

Yes. and all must agree on “not guilty,“ in order to exonerate him.

Anything in between as a hung jury.

i doubt Manhattan residents have high felon rates. maybe the surrounding Burroughs, but not Manhattan.

the jury pool for this trial were chosen almost exclusively from Jerry Nadler and Dan Goldmans districts.

Who was eligible for duty in this one? Which parts of the city would have received this summons?

A bunch of New York Jurors in a Hush-Money Trial involving a women who signed an affidavit stating that sex with Donald Trump never happened. So you know how this is going to turn out? With 34 felony charges (34-unbelieveable) they're going to find Trump guilty. We lost impartiality of jurors in liberal states back in 1995 in the OJ Simpson Slice and Dice Verdict. Everything is political now, even our courts. What a mess.

Now you tell me her attorney has indicated he is willing to testify on Trump's behalf.

All this absurdity designed to do one thing - STOP Donald Trump.

It's quite literally the opposite

Thanks for answering my question I hadn't asked yet

Based on that information it doesn’t seem bad. None of them are going to publicly praise Trump due to backlash it receives by media and others

Probably a ton of Manhattanites that can empathize with Trump in this or similar situation

Have you ever been to NYC?

Lower Manhattan may have a low rate, but I would bet that Upper Manhattan is far above the national average.

EDIT, since the downvotes indicate that a number of posters do not know much about New York and the fact that the four neighborhoods in North Manhattan have the highest rates in the city.

What bothers me is nobody says what they should.

“Anyone is innocent until proven guilty and the evidence must prove beyond a reasonable doubt, no matter who the defendant is. Personal opinions or feelings don’t matter”

Has Juror 1 heard of the other criminal cases against Trump? “I’ve heard of some of them.”

Did they ask about each of them specifically? If not, how would this person know he's only "heard of some of them?"

Residents of the island of Manhattan. No one in the four other boroughs.

Judge Jeanine Pirro said NY uses a combo of voter rolls, DMV registrations, and tax filings.

How can he get a fair trial with a jury pool of people that elected 2 impeachment officers against the defendant?
