Looking at Home Depot online, looks like they have a bunch of Honda mowers for sale. Supposedly they fixed the recall issue. Anyone have any solid knowledge of this?

My current mower died today...

Given the recent problems, don't think the ones made in the last few years are as good as what previous models were.

Just looked it up. They had to test the motors down to take out the plastic and rebuild. When they're all sold it will be the end.

What are some parts to buy right now in case they stop making them?

I wouldn’t buy any engine parts. Honda stopped making mowers but will continue making the engine for other applications. tillers, water pumps, pressure washers, ect

I have a 5 year old HRR and I hate it. It was revered like always, but they SUCK IMO. After 2 years it stopped rolling backwards. Took everything in rear end apart, polished axle, assembly with new washers etc. It worked for a few months and then it was doing it again. Got aggravated the next year and replaced the ENTIRE transmission, axle assembly, ratchet gears etc. Worked for another year then it started doing it again. Finally this year I got mad and bought a SCAG 30" walk behind. It's overkill for my small yard, but at least it rolls backwards.

I bought the HRN 216 Honda from HD for $549.00 last month.

Best damn push mower I’ve ever had.

We have a Honda mower from Bozeman in Baton Rouge, we’ve never had any problems and we’ve had it 4 years.

If you need nothing more than a push mower, go with Greenworks or EGO. Greenworks is having sales right now at Costco on all their main mowing tools, in warehouse.

EGO is probably looking to start upgrading their push mower line soon based on all their tools they're coming out with this summer.

I replaced those as well the 2nd go around. Still hard to roll backwards.
