You do not slide at first unless the throw is up the line. Sliding actually slows you down.

We put together some fight and a decent string of hits to score runs. I like it.

Hopefully it gives them something to build off of and win the series tomorrow.

maybe we’re just not a very good team

There's no maybe about it. This is a battle of trying to not to be the worst team in the SEC.

I get it. But why can’t we complain about Micah giving up a bomb? Didn’t Braswell have an RBI so technically he was net 0? I know it’s easy to pile up on him but this isn’t on him.

Yeah he was technically a net zero when he could have been a positive. But he leet a ball rolling 5mph roll between his legs without even getting a glove on it. It's the same little league mistakes he's been making all year. There's no reason he should be our starting SS.

Your top 3 were 0-12 going into the top of the 9th. Your ACE couldn’t get off the field once again with two outs. But let’s point to an error in the first as the reason we lost and gloss over everything else.

Rubber game tomorrow..One loss away from dropping a series to Missouri and dropping 6th straight SEC series this year

4-13 in conference play, to get to 14 wins to make a regional they have to win 10 of the next 13 conference games...and three of those are against A&M

13 wins might get them in to a regional but they will have to win 9 of the next 13 conference games
Lost to Missouri with the LSU ace on the mound

Not looking good at all

Yeah I wasn’t, just saying the shortstop should make that play lmao. What’s easier, fielding a grounder or getting a hit? Bad fielders are still over .900. Stats say fielding a grounder. It was routine.

He could have just laid down and stopped it from rolling past the dirt and we probably would have won the game.

That ball wasn’t spinning enough to move +3 feet either way.

To people saying it isn't Braswell's fault and trying to point to other single reasons, it is his fault because a little leaguer could make that play 99% of the time. Thats the difference. There was 0 excuse to not make that play.

He should and I’m not trying to make an excuse for him but it was redirected off Holmans foot and he most likely rushed bc he was trying to make a play. My initial response was to the immediate flood of posts that brought up that single play as the reason we lost.

I think you move him to 2nd and Milam to SS but there were 7 other runs given up against the worst offense in the sec and our “ace” on the mound.

All that matters is this team did show some fight tonight. Unfortunately just like the season, it’s too little too late. Jay is out coaching himself with dumbarse moves. Neal is the most miserable player I’ve ever watched. Braswell has the fielding ability of every other 13u travel player. Can we please just make a regional? Never thought that would feel this impossible at lsu.

I know we are playing Neal cause we need a catcher next year but I would rather get one in the portal

This was probably the most disappointing loss besides Florida Game 2 because all year this team has laid down and they FINALLY fought back. I understand Jay not wanting to burn a solid pitcher. Our lineup is finally moving in the right direction. Pitching/defense let us down.

This definitely is the type of effort we've been missing all year at the plate (last half of game)
