I had no idea that new turf is laid every June
They love a verticutter...
Never heard of overseeding bermuda with more bermuda, especially in the same season, but I guess it makes sense with that amount of wear and tear.

This really could just be called the grass board most days.

I mean a lawn care board would do pretty well on this site I’d imagine.

I don't have time to watch now. Are they overseeding with a different hybrid or celebration? I have this grass and it's pretty tough. I think I picked it because of my pets.

Guy states he overseeds from middle to end of October. By that time they will have at least played 4-5 home games, with the one week break between whatever game they have and the Alabama game (if they're at LSU, which is the first week of November). A lot of the grass has been beat to hell and back, and probably a ton of it has been lost because of the wear and tear. That overseeding probably comes in just to fill in whatever games they have left at the end of the year. I know the temps are still roughly in the mid/high 80s during the end of October so this probably allows them to have a sharp looking field for the last couple of games.

It's the Bermuda Board.

This video is about 10 years old. They don't resod every year anymore, only when there is a big event. Also it is overseeded with ryegrass in October not more bermuda.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate LSU’s turf master. The field looked phenomenal for the spring game. Then you look at Alabama’s spring game, grass looked so terrible

Wasn’t this always a requirement for the Bayou Country Superfest? Allowed them to have it at TS but required the entire field to be resodded after.

They still have Celebration on all of the fields at LSU.

Yeah, in the sports turf industry, when someone talks about over seeded Bermuda, its always with rye.

We don’t replace it every year. Haven’t done that since bayou country super fest.

The new facilities head is a licensed landscape architect. Coolest thing he implemented was the inflatable greenhouse system for the field.

It’s overseeded with rye grass.
