Do you dry and put away your pots and pans? Or leave them to dry on a drying rack?

I have zero memories of pots and pans being left out to dry when I was growing up. We would use a towel to hand dry everything and put them away.
My wife always sets up a drying station and leaves things to dry over night. Then we put them away the next morning or before cooking the next night.
It kind of drives me crazy. For one, the counters are always cluttered. Two, it sucks arse to start cooking and then cleaning when there's a pile of dishes to still finish from the previous night.

So, why don’t you just dry them and put them away?

Why don't you just dry them and put them away yourself?

My kids do the dishes. I don't care as long as they get done daily.

We always use the same pots and pans every day, so we just clean them and leave them on the stove.

Feel like I could have typed this. It drives me nuts that someone would go through the hassle to clean and only partially do the job. It's one of my bigger aggravations in our marriage. . . so I guess overall marriage is good. But it's the little things sometimes.

Cast iron gets dried right away, either with heat or wiped. Knives are cleaned and dried immediately as well. Stainless or or non-stick pots or pans it depends on how lazy i'm feeling.

He may be like the poster in that other thread who thinks that off all the hot garbage appliances made today, the dishwasher has to be the worst. Not everyone is normal.

It drives you crazy that your wife isn’t doing an unnecessary task like hand drying pots and pans?
You don’t have a double sink and stack your pots and pans on a drying rack on one side like most sane people?
How long does it take to put away air dried pots and pans? 30 seconds? Not sure what the big deal is.
