Of all the hot garbage appliances made today, the dishwasher has to be the worst

Well, the Dishwasher has gone out after barely two years. I’m sick of buying a new dishwasher every 2-3 years now. I’ve tried just about all the high-dollar “reputable” brands with all the bells and whistles. GE, Bosch, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, you name it. But they, like almost all appliances nowadays, turn out to be junk. I’m almost to the point of saying frick it and buying the cheapest one I can find (it won’t last anyway) or just giving up all together. Are there any dishwashers still in production that are even close to the money it takes to buy one?

You must not have bought a big enough ring for yours. If she is happy…she’ll wash’em.

Learn to repair them yourself.
Stick with something not too high tech

We bought a high end whirlpool when we bought our house 4 years ago. We beat it like a rented mule and it’s still going strong with no issues.

Wash them yourself baw. I haven’t had a dishwasher in nearly a decade

Like everything else, these companies only care about the stock price this quarter and skimp on quality control. There’s no extra money in giving the consumer a better product. Quite the opposite actually.

Bosch or the higher end KitchenAid are the best ones

I bought a Cove dishwasher 2 years ago. I’ll never buy a regular dishwasher again. It is the bomb.

I have a Bertazonni and it’s actually the only decent appliance I have. I basically hate everything else.

My dishwasher is over 20 years old & still going strong.

Last one I bought from a local company that has their own repair team..higher end kitchen aid that had good reviews everywhere online...it was scratch & dent, so it was cheaper, added the 5yr parts & labor warranty, brought it back up to basically regular price..had to use the warranty 3 yrs in, but it was all covered

I have had good luck with Maytag

My mid level Bosch is 7 years old and no problems. I've had good experiences with all of my appliances.

I've had a mid-range Bosch for years and love it. Can't hear it run, dishes come out clean and dry. But they aren't for all locations and water quality issues. Talk to plumbers and repairmen to find out what brand works best in your area. Some brands do better with hard or soft water.

After my fancy GE gave me problems for a year until it finally shite the bed, I bought a Hotpoint with 2 buttons on it for relatively cheap, and have not had any issues since.
