Most disappointing and surprising win/loss for LSU football since 2020

Most surprising would be the win in 2020 at Florida.
The most disappointing has to be the loss in 2022 at Texas A&M. Especially after beating Alabama in OT just a few weeks before.

Surprising - 2022 Alabama
Disappointing - 2012 Alabama or 2016 Florida

I read 2000. My bad.
Surprising still stands. Disappointing....I'll go with 2020 Missouri. Mainly because it was the death knell for any hopes we had about that team, Brennan's career was destroyed and we started the Finley/Johnson era, even more ill equipped to run dat Joe Brady offense.

Most disappointing? 2022 Texas A&M
Most Surprising? 2020 Florida. Probably Florida’s best team post Tebow.

Disappointing? UCLA. We lost to sissy blue.

Most surprising win is without any opinion but fact, 2020 @ Florida. Most disappointing win? So a struggle win...I would say Arkansas this past year. Just a frustrating win. Changes to defense were just never made.
Loss can be different...I would say most dissapointing loss was Mississippi this past season. Most surprising was Missouri 2020.

Miss st. In 2020 was an awful loss. I’ve never seen an LSU team get carved up like that. Win???! I’ll go Bama in 2022.

Don't like the "Around the Bowl" people and the Astroglide & Mechanical people in the SEC.
Tulane and Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Lafayette in the State. (Which I thankfully no longer reside in) ......

Best surprise was Bama 2022, hands down.
Disappointment? I’d argue 2023 Ole Miss, sheerly because of the defensive debacle. Still astonished we scored 49 and still lost

I don't understand people saying 2022 Bama was a surprising win. I fully expected us to win that game.

I'll go with your choice. Both seem like reasonable picks. I'll wake up middle of the night and think of a diff answer I'll come back.

Most surprising win - 2022 against Mississippi State. Third game of the season if I recall and with an opener loss and a new staff in place, it was nice to get a conference win at home.
Most disappointing loss - last year against FSU. Promising first drive but the game went sideways in the second half. Didn’t see that coming.

This one for the loss for sure. Then either the win over Florida 2020 or the win over Bama 2022

Most surprising win? 2023 vs Missouri. I couldn't believe we came back from a 7-22 deficit and beat a good Missouri team, and actually made a couple of stops and a key interception in the second half, and won by 10!
Most disappointing loss? V. Alabama the same season. Tigers got up 28-21 in the 3rd quarter. After the brief lead, what followed showcased 2 things: the worthlessness of House and his defense, and the obvious biased officiating in favor of Bama.
That Bama loss was a backbreaker last year, as it ended any title aspirations (SEC and/or national) for this LSU team.

quote:This shouldn’t even be debatable. We had just beaten Bama and had all the momentum in the world. LSU was at #5 in the CFP and all they had to do was beat an A&M team that was 4-7 (with 2 of the 4 wins being FCS teams) in order to setup a top 5 matchup in the SEC title game with a spot in the CFP on the line.

Most surprising win is 110% Florida in 2020 we had no business winning that game.
The obvious choice for the loss is 2022 A&M. An underrated choice for the most disappointing loss though may be the 2021 Auburn game. The fact that we let a shitty arse team led by Brian Harsin and Bo Nix come into TS and beat us to end the Cigar Curse made me astronomically pissed off. I was quite inebriated that evening but that was one of the angriest I’ve ever been leaving tiger stadium.
