I graduated in 1990 and knew a guy two years behind me that screwed a teacher. She came after I graduated but she was fresh out of college and used to go out drinking with his friend group. She was not remotely attractive and was clearly trying to experience some high school glory that she had missed out on. The guy could and did do much better than her. I guess she was a novelty. For the record, it did not scar him for life.

I'm mean it started becoming a frequent news story in the 2000s and has become more and more prevalent since then. In my HS days early-mid 90s, I never heard about it happening and I went to a suburban private school. Surrounded by many many other public and private high schools.

Just like a lot of other crazy shite, it was always going on, you just didn’t have 24 hour news, internet, and almost instantaneous information dissemination.
